I did indulge in the hot tub & cold plunge prior to my session. Brought hubby along to enjoy the amenities ($18 walk in plus towel rental). Before my session, Allison & I went over what body parts to focus on. I mentioned I'm also a big fan of the hot stones. And during the session, she included them also. After riding more than 2600 miles on the motorcycles to get to Durango (and still pushing more than 600 to get home)- my body really needed this. I literally walked out of Amaya with no aches and soothed out muscles. Allison gave my back a nice adjustment & worked out a kink on my leg. Highly recommend their services. You will not regret it.

My wife and I had a two-hour reservation at Durango Hot Springs on September 17, at a cost of $98…read more Unfortunately, the weather that day was extremely poor. It was torrentially raining, cold, and there was no indication that the weather was going to improve. There were also flash flood warnings in the area. Since the facilities are primarily outdoors, we felt that spending two hours there under those conditions would be miserable and, in my case, potentially unsafe. I called Durango Hot Springs and asked if they would cancel the reservation and refund our $98. I was told that their policy only allows refunds for medical reasons or lightning in the area. I understand that businesses have cancellation policies, and I wasn't disputing that they have one. However, I was disappointed that they would not make an exception under these unusually severe weather conditions. I subsequently sent an email explaining that I am a disabled veteran and that, given the torrential rain and slippery conditions, I was particularly concerned about falling. I never received a response to that email. What disappointed me most was not simply losing the $98. It was the lack of flexibility and the lack of response to my follow-up email. I would have expected a business offering an outdoor experience to show some reasonable discretion when weather conditions make the experience substantially different from what a customer reasonably expected. Potential customers should be aware of the cancellation policy and understand that, even in severe rain and cold weather, a refund may not be offered unless their specific criteria are met.

My husband and I compared notes later and agreed she was the best masseuse either of us ever had. She was so amazing, I made a point to book in advance as soon as I knew I was going back to Durango. I felt adventurous and she incorporated cupping (like Michael Phelps had before the Olympics - remember those funny egg shaped marks on his shoulder blade? that's cupping). I have never felt better! Taylor is gifted healer and I could not recommend her more!

This was no exception. Dawn has an innate ability to find problematic muscle(s) and melt them away. Dawn spent one hour on my traps and upper back with the majority of the focus being on the problematic left trapezius area. She wasted no time, everything she did had purpose, and I walked out of there with significantly less pain and much more range of motion than when I walked in. Dawn has an authentic, warm, and positive energy to her and is a great conversationalist (which is much needed when you have lots of trouble areas that need work). She knows how to moderate the amount of force she is using and is very in tune with how you are responding to the massage. Flowersong is open on weekends (which seems to be sort of rare for places like this in Durango) and Dawn was quick to respond to the text messages we exchanged with her when figuring out the logistics of where her office was located. The only downside is that we are not local to Durango, CO so we (my girlfriend and myself) won't be able to come back regularly. No matter what size of patient you are, Dawn will be able to take care of you. You can find more information on Dawn here: http://www.flowersongherbals.com/ https://www.facebook.com/Flowersong/timeline
