This is a review for LIVE online course including my reviews for all instructors and Blue Print…read more(BP) LSAT staffs. Before I signed up: Early in January this year, I emailed BP if they offered student discount. They did but you had to go to their on campus event, which I did. And I emailed them asking if I was eligible to receive discount. The team member Krysta replied me and asked my name so she could verify my name on their sign-in sheet. She couldn't find my name (don't know why but I did) so she rejected to give me a discount code. Didn't really feel she's helpful. One month later, when I almost wanted to sign up another prep course company, I received their email about promotion code for signing up their course. I used the code but there's a bug on my account and I couldn't see the course showed on the home page. The other team members, who were really friendly and responded to my question fast. During the prep course months, they are very open to my feedback. BTW, I personally really like the recorded online course as secondary study materials. They just need to have someone really proofread and double check the courses, small errors like bugs in the videos, typos, notes doesn't match the instructor's words, suggestions on improvement for the courses. For the live online course: you have access to two live courses, recorded courses, homework (with video explanations), and office hours, which are host by different instructors (I found my favorite instructors there! love their office hours) I don't feel there are much different than in person class. I can enjoy eating my dinner with my pajama while taking the class. I can come back and rewatch the live recorded courses if I have any questions on certain topics. The instructors I have Jelena Woehr as my instructor. She's nice. However, I found that her voice is tooooo sofffttt that almost makes me want to fall asleep every time I take her class. She doesn't have many notes from herself like other instructors (will talk about it later) I didn't really learn much from her, because mostly she goes over the book. Missed 3 or 4? out of 12 courses (replaced by Dylan, who I found is the best! ). For other instructors, my reviews for them are based on office hours mostly. I love office hours and I think it will be a great if BP can open some free office hours for people who want to sign up the course and find the instructor they like. Jelena's course time was the best that can work for my schedule when I signed up, and I had no clue which instructor is better for live online course. If I knew whose class I wanted to take, I would sign up for the instructor's courses that I was sure to take. - Instructor Dylan Gadek: 5 stars! he sub for Jelena 3 courses and I found that he has great knowledge of what he's teaching. Funny guy. his class is very structure. has lots of his own notes and methods. you clearly know what you expected to learn from each of his class. I am still taking ALL his office hours. He's been teaching LSAT for years, and he used to teach MCAT. I found that LR & RC are his strongest part of teaching. - Instructor Chris Whyte: 5 Stars. He and Dylan are the top 1 instructor at BP from my opinion. He's really good at LG and RC. really knows what he's talking about and well prepared for every office hours. - Instructor Kyle: hmmmm..... I took his office hours for digital LSAT 101 topic. I am not sure if he's not prepared or what, the whole video, he seemed like really don't know what happened. 90% of time he said: hmmm.. but.. yea..." and he said "I don't what I am talking about lol " I had to use 1.5 x SPEED to listen his whole video. In the video he seemed like he's just reading the scripts? not really well prepared for this office hours. If I watch this video before signing up the course, I would not choose him as my instructor because I really don't want to spend money on instructors who are not prepared for the course. OMG, I wrote too much.. I need to take a break. The class is almost over, but I will still do their monthly subscription, just for their office hours. I will come back and updates the rest of the other instructors and this live online course reveiw. If you read through here, would you mind give me a like so I know there IS/ARE person/people reading my review, and I will come back finishing it just for those people?

For those of you looking for a great lsat prep course Fox Test prep is the best out there don't…read morewaste money or time using the other lsat prep course with their fake lsat sample tests and absences of real explanations for why the correct answers are right and the wrong ones are wrong. His prep course and videos show why the right answers are right and how to know for sure and why the wrong answers are wrong and why for all lsat sections. You can always call him or email him with specific questions. He will get right back to you. You can chose from in class, online or private lsat prep course options. His course is reasonably priced I chose self study online and it was perfect for me a single full time working mommy of one. It provided me with the flexibility to start and come back on my own schedule. There's videos showing explanations for various questions for all four sections. I brought additional books and materials online from Amazon to focus on my weakest sections logic games and logic reasoning. Nathan is extremely helpful and supportive during my longgggg and challenging journey preparing for the lsat. My previous score went up six points the last time I took it in 2015. This time I expect an even bigger score increase especially where the games and logical reasoning sections are concerned. I started noticing patterns in the way the questions were asked on the lsat and learned how identify how to answer the question by focusing on what the question is asking in the logical reasoning section specifically. He also shows the best way to diagram the rules in the logic games and making inferences. That entails not wasting time diagraming unnecessarily and and certain rules you can hold in your head. That depends on the type of logical game your working on. I am more confident in crushing these sections after reading and practicing using the logical reasoning book and Logical reasoning playbook. I enjoyed the logical game playbook the most (never thought I would say that.) by the time I got to the second time practicing the game after reading the explanation I was crushing the games the second and third time around. It became fun especially when I could look at question after diagraming and doing inferences and knowing without a doubt which answer was right and why the others were wrong. I've been struggling with the logical games for quite some time and I can say I've conquered the fears and the doubts I once had. I'm very proud of myself! I took the lsat yesterday and kicked major butt! Practice over and over again. The lsat is a challenge but you will make it too!

What I loved most was getting feedback from different teachers each week - they all brought unique ideas to the table and helped me make my essays much better. One thing that really helped was how organized A1 was with deadlines. They laid out a clear schedule that made sure we finished everything way ahead of time, which took away so much stress. My monthly meetings with the counselors, Ryan and Esther, were amazing - they helped me figure out which schools to apply to, what major would be the best fit, and how to tell my story through my essays. I also worked closely with Maddie teacher on my resume and UC activity list. She helped me make sure I included all my important experiences and achievements in the best way possible. Even though I ended up getting into NYU through early decision (which meant I didn't need my other applications), I'm so glad I had everything ready to go well before the deadlines for any outcome that could have happened. Looking back, I wouldn't be where I am today without A1's help. The teachers really cared about my success, and they gave me all the tools and support I needed to put together strong applications. I'm really grateful for all their help!

Their unwavering support and commitment have been invaluable, and I am profoundly grateful for their tireless efforts. Tutoring at A1 has also been one of the biggest key to getting into my dream school. From taking the SSAT to prepare for my high school entrance exam to tutoring me on any of my weak skills in school subjects to helping me reach my SAT goals for college, their tutoring has been pivotal in achieving my academic aspirations. I've received not only important math skills and knowledge from Peace teacher (the best), but also crucial study habits and practices that'll help me beyond my academic journey. Their genuine dedication and earnest commitment have been transformative, and I owe them a debt of gratitude. Thank you so much A1!!

I would like to keep the enthusiastic chain of recommendation momentum going! Obviously, everyone's results will vary depending on what their strength and weaknesses are, and their individual learning styles. So I'll just keep this to my personal experience. I began studying for the GMAT in August of 2017. I work in non-profits and studied the liberal arts; the last time I did math was AP Stats in high school and I never took anything more advanced than Algebra 2. Thinking about standardized testing, let alone math, still makes my heart race. From the get-go, I knew my work with Dan would be pretty much exclusively dedicated to quant, and that's partially why it was important to me to spring for personal tutoring rather than a class. Wouldn't have made sense to spend my precious time and money practicing verbal, since I desperately needed extra support with math. Manhattan's attention to detail, and that of Dan specifically, helped me transform over the space of a few short months. Don't get me wrong, you have to work a lot.... like 10-15 hours per week for 4+ months... but for me, the hardest part of studying has always been knowing exactly WHERE to focus my efforts, and that's what Manhattan/Dan took care of for me. So all I had to do, thanks to his help, was.... practice. At one point, I scored a 490 on a practice test and CRIED. I am proud to say that last month, I sat for my very first (and final!) GMAT in December 2017 and scored a 720 -- 46 Q (WAY above my target) and 44 V! I wouldn't have been able to make a fraction of these gains -- let alone keep my cool -- if it weren't for Dan's insight, generosity, and encouragement. Thank you!

I had quite a long journey with the GMAT, which spanned over the period of about a year and a half…read more Initially, I took the GRE, and only gave myself about 5 weeks to study for the exam. I reached out to Manhattan Prep to schedule some tutoring time since I was under the gun and I wanted to maximize my learning time. My expectations were far exceeded with Chris Berman. Not only does he know the test inside and out, but after reviewing my strengths and weaknesses he quickly asserted that I should consider taking the GMAT instead of the GRE. I took a practice test cold and scored slightly above what I was scoring on the GRE practice tests, which I was familiar with. Fast forward to a year later, I went to Chris again before taking the GMAT for the second time. The first time I took it, nerves got to me. Chris was so nice as to have an extensive email conversation with me after taking the exam to go over my scores and give me his thoughts, even though I hadn't gone to him in over a year. Knowing I was taking the exam again, I scheduled more time with Chris. I knew going to him to hone in on my weaknesses would give me confidence in an of itself, as well as increase my skill level on those question types I struggled with. I was again under the gun time-wise, and he was great in working with my schedule and making time for me. His ability to laser in on what each question type is really simplifies what you're looking for when you get each question. This helped me immensely with the critical reasoning, which I sometimes went around in circles with on the hard question types. More than this, Chris has a way of imparting wisdom in metaphors that stick with you. He noted my weaknesses and told me a few anecdotes and sayings that I literally repeated in my head on test day and made the difference between me staying on track time-wise and taking too long on certain questions (I tend to want to double/triple check that I have a question right, which you cannot do on the GMAT). Overall, it's not only Chris' ability to hone in on what you're weak in, but also his outlook on the test and his knowledge on strategy that really makes him invaluable. The private tutoring is an investment, but I couldn't have been happier with it. My initial practice test was a 620, the first exam I got a 640 (nerves) then I got a 700 the second time, which was my minimum goal score. If I had more time before applications, I would take it one more time to try to get in the 730 realm, but I'm happy to have gotten in my goal range, and Chris was crucial in getting me there. Go with him!
