If I could give A+ Tutoring 10 stars, I would. My 14-year-old son has been working with them for…read moreabout a year. As a homeschooling mom, I am incredibly intentional about my daughter's education. I want her to…read moregenuinely enjoy learning, receive an elevated education, and be taught in a way that honors her individual learning style. Because of that, I am extremely selective about who I invite into her educational experience. A+ Tutoring has truly become part of my team, and I could not be more grateful. From the very beginning, they have gone above and beyond to provide exceptional support and customer service. What has impressed me most is how thoughtfully they match each child with a tutor. They genuinely take the time to understand your child's learning style, personality, needs, and goals rather than simply assigning a tutor. And if something ever needs to be adjusted, they address it immediately. In my experience, they don't just solve the issue, they somehow manage to outdo themselves in the process. Mandy and Janelle, their incredible tutor matchmakers, are exceptional. They are attentive, responsive, intuitive, and truly invested in finding the right fit for your child. I have felt incredibly supported throughout the process. And then there is our tutor, Sonya Karl, who is EXTRAORDINARY. Sonya is deeply child-centered, incredibly intelligent, emotionally intelligent, patient, warm, and genuinely gifted at connecting with children. She has such a beautiful heart, and it is evident in the way she teaches. The most meaningful measure for me is this: my daughter is not only excelling academically, she genuinely looks forward to her tutoring sessions with Sonya. That says everything. Finding the right people to support your child's education is such an important decision, especially when you are homeschooling and creating an educational experience around your child rather than asking your child to fit into a system. A+ Tutoring understands that. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found them, and even more fortunate that they connected us with Sonya. They have earned my trust, my gratitude, and my highest recommendation.

1/5 , Absolutely Unacceptable Customer Service I recently…read morereached out to Varsity Tutors because I have an important test coming up and needed help finding a tutor as soon as possible. I called their customer service line hoping to get some guidance and schedule sessions quickly, given the time pressure I was under. I explained my situation clearly, that I had a major exam approaching and really needed to get matched with a qualified tutor right away. Instead of offering any help, the young man on the other end of the line simply responded with "cool beans" and then hung up the phone. No follow-up questions, no attempt to assist me, nothing. Just "cool beans" and a dial tone. I was completely stunned. I'm a paying customer reaching out during a stressful time, and that's the level of professionalism I get? It felt dismissive and disrespectful. I'm out here trying to invest in my education, and your representative couldn't even be bothered to stay on the line for 30 seconds. If this is the quality of support Varsity Tutors provides, I can only imagine what the actual tutoring experience would be like. I'll be taking my money elsewhere and would strongly caution anyone considering this service to think twice. Completely unprofessional. Everyone at Mathnasium is so nice. The time, the care and the overall ethics they take in making my…read moreson feel comfortable and valued is something I appreciate beyond words. My son used to love school and love math. He excelled in it until he got a teacher who completely destroyed his self confidence which resulted in him developing a fear and unworthiness. It was awful. He started having a real emotional and physical reaction when it came time to do math and math homework so he just gave up. Instead of his teacher helping him, she reprimanded him which only made it worse. I found Mathnasium wth the hope they would find a way to connect with my child and give him the confidence he needed to shine again. I expected it to take some time but literally after the first session, his little spark was reignited into a flame that has been glowing ever since. His excitement for math is back, he looks forward to going to Mathnasium every week and I can't wait to see what the next few months bring in his little joirney to math greatness! She not only teaches the material, but her tips, tricks and strategies are invaluable. She helped my son prep for the HSPT entrance exam for Notre Dame after he took their week-long test prep workshop and practice test and his score needed to greatly improve. Shushan worked with him once a week for a few months leading up to the test and his score went up 130 points and his markers went from half being in the 'below average' range & half in the 'average' range to ALL ABOVE AVERAGE on the actual test! He was accepted into Notre Dame and we couldn't be happier. Shushan also helped him with general study habits for tests and gave him tools that he can apply for years to come. We will continue to call Shushan anytime my son needs extra support throughout high school and will be sending my younger daughter to her to test prep when she's ready for high school. After starting with a different (and expensive) college counselor located in Santa Monica and SAT…read moretutor (expensive) who both came highly recommended but were essentially completely useless, we received a glowing recommendation for Blue Train and made the switch. Best decision ever. Our two sons used Blue Train for multiple things over their junior and senior years - test assessment/diagnostic, ACT prep and guidance, college list building, guidance re HS classes and even extra curricular advise, as well as navigating the college application process and the all-important essay drafting. Scott and the people at Blue Train put the boys on a very manageable schedule and in fact, both of our sons were totally done with most applications by Thanksgiving. Both boys got into tons of schools, got thrown tons of money, and this entire process was so smooth because of Blue Train's guidance. We event consulted with Scott when deciding which schools to attend. I cannot say enough how effective and impressive Blue Train was. Highly recommend !!!
