The anesthesiologist, Jennifer, was especially kind and reassuring -- she took the time to speak with me both over the phone and in person when I was feeling a bit insecure. Their care, patience, and professionalism truly made me feel safe and well looked after, not only I felt safe but I was safe. They are very organized in preps and after procedures too. Dr Eduardo is super knowledgeable, patience, and again, loved the bed side manners of the team too. I arrived an hour earlier as requested and the procedure started with a perfect punctuality. I went to three GI doc's and Dr da Silveira was the only one who managed to diagnose my problem (SIBO). Since he wasn't a part of my network, i transferred over my relevant medical records and he reviewed them. He was considerate and compassionate and competent. I also had a diagnosis of endometrial cancer at the time and he said that was more important to deal with immediately and after the surgery i went back to him, he ordered the test for SIBO, ordered the antibiotic and i was cured! He performed my upper endoscopy today. It was quick and painless and Dr. da Silveira was very thorough explaining results afterward. I have quite a few doctors, but none compare to Dr. da Silveira. I had a colonoscopy , I did fasting for 24 hours and drank the solution and on my procedure day they called me that the doctor can't make it we have to reschedule. i was shocked they did this to me, the last minute they just said we have to cancel your appt, they didn't have another doctor to do the procedure. So the lady over the phone said our phone lines wasn't working but we did call you days before, if something happened urgent to the doctor how come they called me days before?! She also said I will call you to reschedule but she never did. So i went to the doctor's clinic, ( Dr. Eduardo Da silveira ) I talked to him in front of his staff, I told him this is not fair, fasting is not easy same as drinking the solution, somebody had to take care of me because this is not right. He was saying with a bad tone of voice I can't change time I can't go back I can't do anything, what kind of doctor talks to his patients like that?! The staff looked in the computer and said we called you days before that the doctor cant make it, I told her and the doctor I did not receive any calls, if they called me I should have received calls so they didn't call. she also checked in the system and told the doctor he ( which is me ) canceled on us before, doctor said so you canceled on us and we did the same, not a big deal, what the hell?! He should never say something like that to patients. I asked there's always email how come they didn't email me she the staff looked away, she was very rude. the doctor and front staff was almost fighting with me, as a medical profession that behaving is so unprofessional and disrespectful. Today, I had the pleasure of speaking to Dr. Eduardo Da Silveira MD. regarding a recurring intestinal problems with Constipations and Partial Blockages. Eduardo was knowledgeable and detailed in his descriptions regarding solutions to my particular issue. I was not rushed & I was not treated as an adolescent. Eduardo's interest to help assisting to remedy my issue was excellent! The Doctor left no question unanswered as to a solution, used any medical jargon or shorthand speak. Doctor Eduardo is absolutely awesome! I highly recommend him! He was the third doc I saw after 3 months suffering every single day from stomach pain. He suggested an endoscopy and asked for additional blood and image exams, since the medication I was taking was not working apparently. The entire staff was kind and showed extremely professionalism at all times, not only at his office but at the endoscopy center too. The endoscopy procedure was all successful. I trusted Doctor Eduardo all the time, since he made me feel comfortable and calmed me down with his sense of humor! But always being totally professional. Besides all the great technical knowledge he demonstrated, the thing that most impressed me was how human he was the entire time, from the appointment to when he called me back to talk about the exams results. He looked at me and paid attention while I described my saga and pain, he showed to be a human doctor, which you can barely find nowadays. We also had an online follow up appointment and he was able to answer all of my questions and gave clear guidance if a future problem comes to happen. First and foremost Dr da Silveira is very Concerned fr the well being of every patient how do i know this because I observe hoe he interacts with his patience in the hallway when passing through appointments in The pre-op room I can hear him interacting with patients next to me and he makes sure you are comfortable , encourages you to ask question's f your not sure about something , i love the interactive lifesize screen on the wall that gives you visuals of your organs close up, which allows for him to explain throughlly exactly what is going on inside your body, I've been a patient for close to 8 years & I've never felt nervous, or worried about my tummy problems, Im confident if something goes wrong with my digestive tract, my doctor will find the problem and take all the nessasary treatments to prevent future illness and eliviate my current ailment. I like him. I'll admit, I was worried after the bad reviews since I am overweight, but i was pleasantly surprised. Yes, he brought up the fact that I need to loose weight, and that most of my problems are weight related, but it is true, so I can't be mad about that. He was NOT condescending nor did he belittle me as some have said, so maybe he's looked at these reviews and changed his ways. I don't know. I saw him twice. Once about a year and a half ago, and once about 6 months ago. This last time I saw him was about my fatty liver. He talked to me about seeing someone and considering gastric bypass. I said that I didn't want that and he was rather pushy, and told me to as least go talk to someone, and then decide, but he did not make fun of me being overweight. He just spoke the truth. Told it like it is. Not the warm, fuzzy type, but sometimes we need to hear that. He motivated me to talk to my regular doctor (who IS more of the warm fuzzy type) and now I am working on loosing weight. Six weeks ago, I started Weight Watchers and have lost 16lbs already. I go see Dr. da Silveira again in January, and by then, I'll be down even more so he should be pretty pleased. I'll write an update then. read more

I am actually pretty irritated with that 1 star review because it falsely moves his overall score to 3.8 and gives you an incorrect perspective of the doctor. The colon cleanser he prescribed made me so damn sick and as a result, couldn't complete the colonoscopy...then has the nerve to tell me, in front of witnesses he "didn't make me drink it"! I've left messages to renew my prescription and may be schedule another colonoscopy but NO ONE RETURNS CALLS! I now am searching for another doctor that can actually act like they care about their patients. I has been follow Doctor Eduardo Da Silveira for 9 months now. he is very professional. He is a straight forward Doctor. I know some people may take it wrong way, but my suggestion is Don't Take It Wrong Way. Just listen to doctor who tell you the true. You might get hurt a little bit, but it would help you to be heathy to take care of your family and your love. I know sometimes people or doctors don't want to tell you the true to you because they don't want you get hurt. When I saw Doctor Eduardo Da Silveira first time my main problem was over weight, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, GI track problems. He explained clearly that I had to be diet and exercise more. After the first visit a year ago I has been dieting and exercising more. I also came back few time too in 9 months frame. Now, I lost 21 pounds in 9 months. My blood pressure is stable, no more high cholesterol now. I used to get irregular heart beats, since I am doing what doctor Eduardo told me to do my heart beat is back normal too. My stomach is good now. No More vomiting, Nausea or pain symptoms. All GI symptoms are gone. If I didn't listen to doctor Eduardo Da Silveira I would get a stroke or heart attack soon or uncomfortable of my GI track symptoms. I have 2 children at home who still needs their mother to be healthy and be able to take care of them. If you think about your love ones you would have strong power to do so. I am highly recommend. Writing this review because my wife had written one about our experience here and they had it taken down supposedly because she wasn't the patient (even though she was with me at the appointments) whatever thats fine Ill write my own because people deserve to know what kind of doctor they are going to see. Dr. Silveira is very unprofessional. In my opinion he only wants to take your money by giving you unnecessary procedures, billing you, and then never releasing your results. Unfortunately the office staff is as incompetent as the doctor, my suggestion for them would be to quit and try to work at a place that is reputable maybe then they could learn how a real doctors office should be run. He recommended a colonoscopy for me, Im 30 so this is highly irregular, but I have had massive stomach issues for 2 years so I believe that he knows what he's doing. First problem here was he told me to take immodium. For a chronic stomach problem? Really? Of course I don't follow this advise because it says right on the box not to take more than a couple days. Then after the procedure he tells me I didn't fast correctly because he couldn't see well during the procedure. Excuse me I followed the directions perfectly don't you think there could be another explanation instead of blaming me? Following this he never gets back to me with my biopsy results. His gross negligence is shameful. When I went to my current doctor with PAMF (whom I highly recommend) he said he hasn't even heard of this office. By the way my new doctor immediately knew what tests I needed (of which had nothing to do with a colonoscopy) and diagnosed me correctly within the first week. This doctor refused to call with results or diagnosis even after several attempts to contact him. Then he had his secretary call me and tell me there was medication sent to my pharmacy. I asked what the medication was for and she didn't know. I asked what the name of the drug was and she didn't know. I asked if the doctor had made any notes as to his finding or why he was giving me this medication and surprise surprise she didn't know. Why would I take a medicine if I don't know what Im taking it for? So i pick up the medication and I had to ask my pharmacist what it was. She told me it was for Crohns Disease! Don't you think I would want to know if I had Crohns Disease!? Since I am desperate to feel better I take the medication for a whole month. Obviously it had no effect. Because I don't have Crohns. There are plenty of great doctors in the bay area. We have PAMF and Sutter Health, Stanford. Trust me you deserve a better doctor you will only waste your time and hard earned money here. I also think it is disgraceful for the doctor to put false five star reviews up in a desperate attempt to fool more patients into coming in. Its painfully obvious. He tries to get your reviews taken down when they are bad. Guess what they're the truth. Instead of trying so hard to fake it why don't you work on being a better doctor? There is no reason this review should be removed its 100% accurate and breaks none of the Yelp regulations. Horrible experience with Eduardo, in every visit he made fun of my weight and I was 160 ponds when I was his patient. He never found out what my health problem was, he just send me to do blood tests. I don't recommend this doctor, all the time he is with a mocking laugh. Doctor Juan Posada referred me this doctor.
