My husband and I have been seen by Dr. Hiteshi for about four years. He is a remarkably kind and…read morecaring physician. His office is so organized that we hardly spend any time waiting for him when it's our appointment time. He comes in and sits down without a care in the world outside of our personal needs. He literally goes over our entire blood panel and educates us on it in detail. I have learned more from Dr. Hiteshi than any dermatologist, dietitian, ob/gyn, etc. combined. He spends significant time with us and even goes as far as mailing us information after our visit. He makes me feel so comfortable, almost as though I am with a friend. He absolutely loves what he does and it definitely shows. I had a severe cough during the last trimester of my pregnancy and I ended up in the emergency room from pain but they weren't able to do anything for me. I called Dr. Hiteshi's office the next day and he HIMSELF took me in immediately in the middle of his busy day full of appointments. Even though we are no longer residing in HB, we will continue to drive out there just to see him.

She sent me for completely unnecessary X-rays (which by the way seemed like they sent every single patient for x rays-- why would they do that?!!) After spending a few hours there, the doc said she could t help and sent me on my way saying the X-rays showed nothing and maybe I should get an MRI? I went to the dermatologist the following Monday who simply shaved down the callous and solved the issue. What a complete misuse of medical care. Shame on you Hoag Urgent Care! 2 stars for friendly staff and low wait time, but I would seriously look into why they send every single person to X-ray!

My wife and I chose Dr. Tiffany Chen after extensive research. We loved her relaxing calm demeanor…read moreand her confidence. I have taken a little while to write this review as it's been a crazy month with Covid taking its toll on the country. My wife and I are 45, and this was our 5th and final attempt to have a baby with IVF. Dr. Chen was very aware of how invested we were and took very good care of us all the way through. We decided to induce a week early on 3-8-2020. We went in on 3-7 to start the ripening of the cervix. By 10 PM on 3-8 everything was starting to move and my wife got her epidural. Dr. Chen was on a 24 hour shift and was scheduled to leave at 7 AM. We knew this and were getting anxious to have our baby and have Dr. Chen deliver her. At 7 Dr. Chen came in and said she wanted to stay a little longer after her shift because she was so invested with us and our baby. By 9 AM things were starting to move. At 9:40 our daughter got caught in the birth canal. Shoulder dystocia happens when the baby's shoulder gets caught behind the mother's pubic bone. Within seconds Dr. Chen went into action, she declared it an emergency and at least a dozen people started running into our room. I was pushed aside and five people started working on getting our baby out as quickly as possible as she was being starved of oxygen. As brief background, my sister's son had the same birth issue, but was caught in the birth canal too long. He spent 36 days at Children's Hospital after a life flight from Yakima. He almost died a couple times and we were told he would be mentally handicapped for life, etc. He turned out fine, but we were very aware of what can happen with shoulder dystocia. During this entire ordeal Dr. Chen stayed calm, while I did not, and she had our daughter out in less than a minute and a half. She immediately handed her to the emergency personnel that had ran into help and it took them a 1:45 to get her to start breathing. She had the breathing mask on and everything. The second she made her first cry our hearts started beating again. She was pulled out and resuscitated so quickly that she had zero issues despite her traumatic birth. We came to find out that Dr. Chen's office practices this technique weekly to prepare for this kind of emergency. We feel as though we owe our daughter's health to Dr. Chen. Had she not stayed almost four hours after her shift and had she not practiced this emergency procedure to the extent that she had, we feel that we would have been in the same predicament that my sister went through with an extended hospital stay and fighting to keep our baby alive. If you read this Dr. Chen, we are forever grateful for you and your attention to us. Our daughter is wonderful and we owe a lot of that to you. Thank you from the fullness of our hearts.

I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Holly Salem several years ago and to have her as my primary care…read moredoctor. She is everything you'd want in a doctor - smart, thorough, listens to you, attentive and really knowledgeable. She is also all those things you rarely get in a doctor - you can understand her and she speaks to you like a normal person (not in "doctor" talk), she never rushes you or makes you feel like she doesn't have time for you, and she is always will take the time to explore whatever issue you are coming in with. Trust me, I am picky. Between all the various doctors I've had throughout my life as well as the many my son has had (he has special needs and requires many other specialty doctors), I've seen a lot of mediocre doctors (and some just plain crappy ones). But this is the exact opposite of Dr. Salem. She is top notch...and I'd say is the perfect blend of being a great doctor and also being personable and approachable.

I became a patient with Dr Salem in March of 2025 my initial experience was good. Recently I have…read moretried to contact her office numerous times to get a prescription refilled. I have received conflicting information every time i called her office. Im not sure if its Optum healthcare that is the issue or her office staff but Im tired of trying to contact her office. Hopefully they do better in the future because of this experience Im looking for a new healthcare provider.
