Our first stop was near a sanctuary site in King's Bay that was absolutely packed with manatees that we could not see in the murky waters. It was an incredibly "up close and personal" experience--you literally could not see the manatees until they were right next to you. The location was the Three Sisters Springs. Here, the water clarity was phenomenal. We were able to see the manatees in their entirety--huge, graceful forms gliding, rolling and swimming past us.
