She chose a pair of Irish Setter boots that felt great in the store, but after wearing them around the house for a while, they started to feel too narrow. When we called, the associate told us to bring them back and explained our options: we could try the next wider size or have the boots professionally stretched. After trying on the wider pair, my daughter decided to have the original boots stretched instead. She wore them on a hiking trip shortly afterward and found them to be very comfortable. This place was bought by a couple in July 2019, and is now called MS Alterations Dry Cleaning. At…read morefirst, they continued charging reasonable prices for laundered shirts and dry cleaning. In Sep, they raised their rates, but still reasonable. The one change they made was enacting a new policy, whereby they assume NO RESPONSIBILITY for damaged garments they clean. I had them launder a brand new Tom James tailored shirt I purchased for $149.99. After cleaning, it came back with several broken buttons. Any business that damages customer goods the work on usually will assume responsibility for remediation of damages. This business wanted to charge me for remediation of their damage or an additional $9 + material costs to replace the buttons their laundering process caused. Imagine, an expensive, formal dress somebody took in to be laundered came back damaged. This business would deny any liability, and would charge the customer to fix, resulting in a higher, unexpected cost to clean it. Customer BEWARE that you assume the risk of having your garments cleaned at this business. By the way, there is no signage stating their policy, rather it is by word of mouth.
