Cute little Chinese take out on the side of the road. You can call ahead or you stop in order your food and wait for her to call you over when it is ready. Since COVID they removed the outside tables so you will have to eat in your car or as we did bring it back to our cabin. Everything was fresh and homemade. The teriyaki beef was really good as was the sesame chicken. My kids like their go-to golden fingers. You know how the shadiest joints have the best food? Well this place follows that logic as well. A rundown yellow camper in a lonely parking lot- Ed's kitchen is Maine famous for best Chinese food north of Boston. On a day trip from Bangor we decided to try for ourselves. Verdict: Fried rice: light golden and moist- better than the over dark dry rice you will get at many Chinese joints 4/5 Pork lo mein: a little greasy- but good veggie to noodles ratio. 3/5 General's Chicken: good sized fried chicken bites with a tangy citrus and vinegar sauce. Very minimal heat. 5/5 Beef teriyaki: Tasty and moist. Like super damn moist. Dare I say a little wet? 4/5 Donuts: Yellow gold fried dough with cane sugar. 4/5 Fried Pork Dumplings: Damn good. Nicely fried- decent filling, but a little dense. 4/5 Overall: Damn good for East Mil, and frankly, better than many places in Bangor, Augusta or Lewiston. I've gone there quite a few times over the last few years and never had a probLen until now. she was very rude and I will never go back. something has changed there. don't waste your money. she'll get your order wrong then blame you! read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE! VERY RUDE PEOPLE!! me and my husband just moved here and thought hey let's try this place so I called in an order. Drove there waited for our food.. went to pay for it and was told they only accept cash?!? We were not told this on the phone.. so we apologized and left. I told my husband next time we get cash we should stop by there again as I love trying small places to eat. They are usually the best places to go! NOT IN THIS CASE! After we left they texted me asking if I was picking my order up.. we explained how we told them we didnt have cash I guess they didnt understand .. during this corona virus pandemic alot of people arent carrying cash... she proceeded to yell at me over text and told me if I have no money I shouldnt be going out anywhere! I obviously have money just no cash... HOW RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I can say I'll never be going back! There is no better Chinese food around ANYWHERE!! Eddie and Amy love what they do and it shows. The people here love them as well. i love going to ed's I'm always go with my family, its a little camper that you call to and if you get an order for your family like 3 4 5 things they throw in some Chinese donuts and their really good i usually get a poo poo platter. you should go sometime. the smell is just mouth watering. read more
