Do NOT book with Cleany!!! I am truly so disappointed with…read moremy experience with Cleany. I booked a cleaning service expecting basic cleaning tasks to be completed, but the cleaner did not clean obvious areas like bedside tables, bedposts, bookshelves, or the small carpets in our home. Even after providing photographic evidence of the lack of service, my concerns were repeatedly dismissed and met with unprofessional justifications rather than genuine accountability that would align with their 100% satisfaction guarantee. You would think that a company as big as Cleany would honour its business practice promises but they do not. I sincerely hope Cleany improves its service and customer responses, as paying for a service that was literally not performed is deeply disheartening.

Review of Cleany - A Disastrous Experience for Short-Term Rental Owners…read more I had an extremely disappointing experience with Cleany while using them for my short-term rental, and I feel compelled to share it to save others from the same frustration. It started with what should have been a simple setup: a booking for 2 guests. Cleany set the unit with only one towel, something I noticed in their post-cleaning photos. I had to follow up and urge them to go back and correct it, only to be met with the response that they would "do better next time." No accountability, just a passive promise to improve. This shows a serious lack of understanding of how impactful presentation and cleanliness are to guest ratings. Then it got worse. The guest called me asking for pillowcases. That's right--they made the bed without pillowcases, which their own post-cleaning photos confirmed. The situation spiraled from there. When I contacted their team for answers, I was met with rude and combative responses from a staff member named Hope, who seemed more interested in defending the team than resolving the issue. Thankfully, I happened to be nearby and was able to personally deliver pillowcases from the locked cabinet. Imagine if I hadn't been available? After the guest checked out, I went in to inspect the unit myself. The mop I provided was untouched--still brand new--and there was visible dust on table surfaces. At this point, I seriously began to question whether they had even cleaned at all. I was originally told that I needed to provide cleaning supplies, yet suddenly I was told they bring their own. So which is it? The inconsistency and lack of transparency are staggering. When I raised these issues, I was met with a so-called "investigation" that resulted in nothing but praise for the cleaner, who they said was their "most experienced" and had no complaints from other clients. That's great--but this was my experience, supported by photo evidence and text messages. This isn't hearsay--it's documented. If you're using Cleany, do an audit. And if you're searching for a reliable cleaner for your short-term rental, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Cleany lacks the knowledge, professionalism, and honesty that's required in this space. If you're not watching closely, they'll cut corners--and your guest reviews will suffer for it. You and your guests deserve better. EDITED: after reading their response its clear this company can't be trusted. You specifically told me that you use my supplies for cleaning and asked if I had a vacuum and mop... how is that misunderstanding, or is it a cover up to the lack of cleaning that was done. To top all this off they still charged me, not even a discount or good will .. nope full charge, but hide behind texts asking me for my address.. for what? flower delivery?! Attention to detail.. you have my address because you came to 'clean'. That in itself explains A LOT! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE CLEANERS.. ITS NOT ONLY MY REVIEW.. Super unprofessional "company" and use that word lightly…read more Incorrectly quoted the cost several times, did services that weren't discussed and then asked for additional money, were late, lost my booking and tried to rebook me for a later date despite being booked a month in advance after making me wait 40 mins and had already said they were almost there, barely cleaned the walls or windows, baseboards untouched, floor had mop strings all over it and had puddle streaks everywhere. Walk-out inspection was failed and property manager threatened to deduct money from the security deposit at how bad this cleaning was. Balcony was completely untouched and so was the garage. Needed to book a touch up and again they were extremely late and the owner didn't even arrive as she said she would, sent someone else and then blamed it on traffic. Carpet cleaning was good which surprisingly was the cheaper part. $320 for subpar cleaning by unprofessional and hours of time wasting going back and forth to let people in who were not respectful of our time was not worth it. Book here with caution, they do not provide the caliber of services they advertise. Edited to add: after posting this review while waiting for the cleaners almost 30 mins to show up for the touch up, the owner saw my review and told the cleaner to leave my house mid-clean because she no longer wanted to do my touch up! Absolutely wild, said my review was completely false despite photos and text evidence and said she didn't feel comfortable being in my house (even though I wasn't even there). So despite their guarantee to receive your security deposit back, I now have to either clean up their mess myself or forfeit money from my security deposit.
