To repost my previous review. The bad attitude I got from this tailor, and high prices of $22 to her karate pants. My granddaughter just put her go on at the do-hang , and it appears that one leg is longer than the other. I did watch him only measure one leg, but I've also seen other tailor do the same thing and have the gems even. He did not. If you want bad service, high prices, and no respect for your money. Looking for a place to alter a prom dress last minute, we decided to come here despite negative reviews. Though the tailor was stingy and stubborn, he was the only one out of 10 different tailors we tried that accepted our dress 2 days before the event. A friend just recounted her terrible experience at Edmond alterations, which prompted me to review my own experience there. I had two pairs of pants hemmed there. The work was fine, but I've never been back because the customer service was horrible. I can understand someone having a bad day, or just not being overly friendly. No big deal there. When someone is actively rude, and treats me like I'm a thorn in their side for giving them my business, I can take the hint. I try really hard to be objective, honest, and positive in all my reviews. Therefore, I almost never give a single star rating but this place definitely qualifies. I have been to multiple tailors in the area and after getting a pair of slacks hemmed here, I will never go back. Quality seemed fine and price was even competitive, but the gentleman that appears to manage the place and takes care of all the customer interactions is unbelievably rude and cranky. I don't just mean he had a bad day and isn't chipper, I mean he is a very angry and bitter man from the moment he says hello to the very last transaction and pickup. He speaks very little English and is one of the meanest and rudest people I've met, especially for being in a service industry. When working in Edmond this is my alterations shop of choice. Is he the friendliest guy ever? No. But I think a lot of it is cultural and also the language barrier. He can seem to be very brash, but on the flip side can appreciative as well. I think he wants his quality craftsmanship to be appreciated and doesn't want to deal with customers trying to negotiate the price and get a deal. I get it. I also get the vibe that he has a very organized personality type and likes rules and structure. He has his way of doing things and gets uptight when it changes. But if you learn the rules and follow them then there aren't any problems. For example, he wants you to try on the clothes and not bring them in already marked. He has a specific place he wants you to stand. He wants you to pay at drop off instead of pick up. And he is anal about bringing your ticket back when you pick up the garments. Once I learned all this and complied he has given me kind service and a great final product. Regardless, he always does beautiful work. He and his sewers really know what they are doing and they have great quality. The prices are a little high, but not unreasonable. They also work quickly. Most recently I dropped off a new dress that needed the straps shortened. He told me it would be ready the same day without me even requesting it. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't drive far to go to this shop because of the reasons mentioned in other reviews. The guy could take a class in customer interaction. However, if I am in the area I always choose this shop. The product is good, price is good, and efficiency is good. I think it is a solid 3 starts A-OK. read more

Spare your time and energy and never go to this place! The owner (man) is so ridiculously rude!! On top of the rudeness that I endured when I was asking him questions regarding my alterations, I finally asked him how much it would cost and he said he didn't know... When I asked him "how is that?".. He replied ... "Oh well it's going to be $x.oo.... And I said for three items of clothing that only need a seam stitched up(not in a rude manner at all)...And he replied by handing me my clothes and muttering I could go somewhere else... The gentleman did not want to do the ruffle and so he quoted me a price of $28. And he said $30 to hem the dress. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS! I went in to have a bridesmaids dress altered. A simple small take-in at the waist and hem. When I walked in the owner didn't acknowledge me for 10 mins. Bc he was w another customer I didn't think much of it. After 5 more mins another man walked in. He was immediately acknowledged and tended to. When the first customer was done I was told by the man who I assume is the owner that I would wait, because my hem would "take longer" and the other man would go first. I said I would not wait, that I had already been waiting 20 mins. (Not to mention I know for a fact experienced tailors can throw in a couple of pins and be done). He became angry and told me to "put on the dress." I came out and was adjusting the hem so I wouldn't step on it. He yelled at me "DO NOT TOUCH I WILL TOUCH." He asked me what I wanted done again. I gestured how I would like it to fit at the waist. He again yelled at me "DO NOT TOUCH LADY" and slapped my arm, then forcefully grabbed my by the shoulders and swung me around without warning. I was shocked. He started grabbing the dress from the back and pinning it. After much more forceful grabbing to turn me to and fro, even grabbing me by the back of my arms and ankles, I asked for it to be hemmed a little higher than usual bc it was a beach wedding and we would be barefoot most the time. He got really irate and started yelling how he won't do that, though I had a hard time understanding him now. I tried to say it's because I will be barefoot and want it kind of in-between and he interrupted to yell at me again how I was wrong to ask for it to be hemmed this way, man-splaining how it "should" be four inches then without a word grabbed my by the back of my dress, yanked me hard enough to set me off balance and then shoved me in the small of my back towards the mirror before grabbing my hem. I told him at that point to stop, I had never been grabbed and spoken to such a way in all my life, that he did not speak to or man-handle the gentleman before me in any such way, and that I would be leaving and please do not touch me again he had made me very uncomfortable. (He also charged the man less for much more alterations I noticed and continued to shot the total at me even though I said I could pay several times.) Without a word he grabbed me by the shoulders and swung me in a 180, then grabbed me by the back of my dress and yelled at me again. As I tried to get loose, he yelled "I GETTING THE PINS" and yanked even harder before shoving me in the small of the back towards the fitting room and basically yelling at me to "get out of the dress." It was at this point I did have to raise my voice to him and tell him he had better not touch me or shove me ONE MORE TIME. Sadly the male customer who was watching all of this never said a word and wouldn't even make eye contact. I left with tears in my eyes. read more

Being from the Illinois, I'm use to prices averaging what I was charged. I brought in 5 suits and he marked them fast and efficiently. Most importantly, I received my suits when needed and also the way I requested. If you can't take someone being upfront and honest, don't go here. He is friendly, fast, firm, and fair. read more

Apparently this guy is not teachable. I have never been treated more rudely in a business. I brought pants in to get hemmed and one of the pairs had a "decorative" notch in the back and he brusquely said he could not hem them. I patiently said it was okay to hem past the notch because otherwise I could not wear them. He then told me to leave (pointing to the door and said "GO!") and picked up the previous pair of pants he had just fitted and put safety pins in, took the safety pins out and handed the pants back to me. This was almost comical to me, a business owner myself, who understands the importance of customer service! I then found Kelly's Tailoring and Alteration and she took care of everything with nary a problem; a great experience! Update 7/11/18: LOVE Paris Alterations on Broadway in Edmond. I think the 'language barrier' excuse is a cop-out. I know plenty of business owners who speak english as a second language and are very amicable and professional. The owner is extremely rude, brash and will cut you off mid-sentence. My wife was quoted $50 to hem a dress and when she was unsure he crumpled up the dress, threw it back in the bag and said "you think about it." Rude Rude Rude! This man has zero customer service! I have gone to him before to have a pair pants hemmed for my son he was brisk and rude and I thought well maybe he was having a bad day. Not the case as I recently went in to have a dress for my daughter hemmed and he proceeded to point at a calendar and tell me how busy he was. I said "So can you do it or no?"and in a very rude tone said "why did you wait so long" It is not his place to ask me why I waited or to point at his calendar while roughly shuffling through my garment bag. I told him he was being rude and a simple yes or no was sufficient and he shrugged his shoulders in a I don't care, so what kind of manner. I knew I should not have given him a second chance as the quality of his work is marginal at best. NEVER AGAIN! The owners have great attention to detail. They measure twice and ask for verification about what you need and want done with your item. I have taken several things there and will continue to use them for all my mending and sewing needs. They do everything in a timely manner and give you a quote for the date it will be ready. They argued on how it should fit and told me repeatedly I was stupid and wrong. I have been in this sport for 15 years, and know exactly how it should fit.
