They reminded me of my younger cousins who live in London. There are so many flowers to choose from and there are also a broad range of colours to choose from. Not a bad place to buy flowers from in my view and the staff come across as very friendly. As I am not from the Great Barr area, this is not a place I buy my flowers from. From the outside is eye catching. The large white background shop sign is something you'll see straight away. It's also nice in size; as some florists are a little on the small side for my liking. With Occasions florists, their flowers are not cheap, actually some are a little expensive. You pay for the quality you get. There range of flowers are selected for big occasions like; weddings, birthday's etc. Therefore, they offer an exceptional service because they have a few customers who are planning their weddings or huge birthday celebrations. The lady was very helpful and flowers got delivered well in time. When I arrived at the house of the bereaved and saw the flowers are was very impressed. They were lovely and I felt I got good value for money. From my experience I would definitely reccomend.

They cater for weddings, exhibitions, dinner dances, events..... and so on. They are also part of the NEC, so have no problem fitting out for large exhibitions. That is the question…read more It seems these days that many nurseries eventually diversify along the garden centre route - installing cafes, aquatics centres and farm shops. Fortunately, Hirons continues to buck the trend. This has always been and continues to be an actual functioning nursery providing high class garden and house plants to Birmingham families for years. Hirons retains its old fashioned feel, and hasn't changed since I used to visit here with my dad - who loves the place to bits incidentally. There's no smoke or mirrors here. You can see the staff getting there hands dirty, potting up the wonderful plants on old newspaper that they've actually grown on site. Garden centres have their place, but if you're a plant lover first and foremost this is the place for you. The staff at this family run firm really know their stuff, and you'll leave with unusual plants and specialist potting soil rather than a goldfish and a pot of homemade marmalade.
