I was a student in the 2024-2025 school year in 3rd grade. I am here to write a review as a 10 year…read moreold. I am now jn forth grade, and I'm being serious. If I can rate this in the negative numbers, I fucking would. If you're Muslim, good luck on noting getting death threats and called Osama Bin Ladens brother. One prayer I'm Islam is Thuhr Prayer which is at midday. That's usually during recess, which means I have to pray during midday. It usually takes me 10 minutes, and I was the leader, which means I am leading a bunch of other kids, probably like 20. I prayed and due to that, I had to be late to class because I had to read long recitations. so I get sent to the office for being late, and I explain to the deen about this. And keep in mind I told him I'm Muslim and what does he say? "This isn't church buddy!" I told this idiot that I am Muslim. So just to piss him off, I also prayed Asr prayer which is after midday. So after the bell rings, that's near the prayer. So I prayed in the field just to piss him off. At the end of prayer, he insults me again, so I told him, "There are different religions by the way. Please learn that." I told him that to teach him. And don't even get me started on Ramadan. As most of you peopel know, you don't eat from dawn to sunset for 30 days. Simple. For the Muslim kids that fast, there is a table outside the cafeteria to nit see a bunch of kids eat. That is smart, but in the dumbest way possible. Why? Well, there is a window outside the cafeteria and all the kids who aren't fasting go to that window, eat in front of it, and I and all the kids that fats are seeing the kids eat. It's one problem after another. And now I'm reading the Quran during reading time in class. For those who don't know, the Quran is the Muslim version of the bible. I'm reading it and keep in mind it's in arabic. I can read Arabic. The teacher comes and says, "That book is not in English." He then lectures me and goes like "You need a book in English" and I get sent to the office. Now I have two adults lecturing me at the same time. The next day, I bring a Quran with tafsir, which basically has Arabic, but English on the side. I read, and then my mentally ill teacher says, "read literature". Then lectures me again. To be honest, what is going in this country? Since 9/11, arabs have been criticized in america and killed by gangs. Just complete racism.

They have very bad staff and all of the teachers never treat the kids right and there is no…read moreprinciple around whenever you need something and whenever you get picked up early you can recall the school because they won't answer the phone but they are always by the phones just never pick up.

i love this school!! they have great teachers and great students!! everyone is very helpful and…read morewelcoming. they have a new wonderful lunch room and my daughter says that the food is very good also. their special education teachers are wonderful and really care about the children and their special needs. i am glad that this is my neighborhood school and am very happy with the education my daughter is receiving. there are a few teachers that have went above and beyond their job and if my daughter did not have them for teachers, i really do not know where she would be today. ms Hesslau, her kindergarten teacher was amazing! she taught my daughter the basics of reading and she left that classroom a reader!! her second grade teacher mrs. simmons was god sent. she taught my daughter the most important things in life like respect and pushed her to achieve greatness!! she learned soooooooooooo much in her class and gave every one of her students her attention they needed and made them not only feel loved but accepted. she taught her how to be her own person and i love the way she excepted nothing less but the best out of her students and always made sure they worked toward their goals and achieved them! i always say that i dont know where my daughter would be today if it was not for mrs. simmons. we love you mrs. simmons and want you to know that you are one of those teachers that people remember for the rest of their lives and will never forget! i can not forget mr. rosensteil. WOW what a great educator! he taught my daughter so many things that made her the student she is today. the student love him because he is funny and never is boring! she had a blast in his room and was always coming home with a story about how cool mr R was. he always took the time to help my daughter and give her the one on one help she needed. he took the time to sit down and write me a letter many times to let me know what a great day she had or something she needed to work on at home. there are regular teachers and then there are the teacher that touch your soul. these 3 teachers i mentioned are the teachers that come into your life and are never forgotten for the rest of your life. there are 2 aides at Dever that shine so bright you need sunglasses. Miss Tony and Mrs. Bruno. these 2 aides go above and beyond their jobs and love the students as if they were theirs! i could never have asked for better aides for my child. these 2 ladies are keepers and it would be a huge disappointment to see either of them go. i just wanted to let you know that you both are greatly loved and i dont know where we would be without you! Dever school is really blessed to have some of the teachers and aides they have and i hope they are treated as the "gold" they really are!!

Maine South, my alma mater...where to start…read more.. Overall, I had a good time. I made my friends, and we hung out the four years. Drama with BOYZ and GIRLZ of course, but that is standard. I really liked the art department, and my hours there are some of the most pleasant from my teenage years. I agree with Dea A. that they could do more to accommodate the students who have plans that deviate even ever so slightly from the norm. My gripe is with the accelerated vs. regular track science classes. I hope this has changed since. In order to take an AP bio, chem or physics class, you must have 1 full year of bio, chem and physics. The accelerated science track conveniently offers accelerated classes in each of these subjects for a full year each. In the regular track, you take one full year of bio, then in your sophomore year, you take one half year of physics and one half year of physics. Then in your junior year, you take one full year of physics or chem. As you can see, if you're in the regular track, you end up with one year of bio, and then 1.5 years of chem (in my case) and .5 years of physics. Having consistently maintained a kick ass grade in chemistry in both my classes, I wanted to take AP chem, and all my chem teachers gave their approval. I was refused. Why? Because I didn't have that extra half year of physics. I was told that I could take a year of physics at a local community college (at my expense of course) to be allowed to take AP chem. Or you know, I could take geology with all the other regular track seniors. Thanks, but no thanks. They were just too lazy to actually help a bright student pursue their chemistry dreams...So that pissed me off, as you can see from this long review. Screw it all, I'm in law school now bitches! The dances were alright.

Cannot get ahold of anyone at MS. No call backs! Worst response from faculty (councilor) EVER!…read more My kid was failing a class.. . I've called 5/6 times NOTHING! Maybe because I don't give enough as a booster!
