It was a first time visit…read morefor us, and we were very happy it's outside signage and displays caught our attention to stop, park, and drop by for an up close & personal look. We found it to be such a 'cool', cute, and colourful small florist shop -- so neat and attractively set up, both inside and outside. Our most-friendly, and cordial 'host' told me, that at this time, they had only been open for a month. I really liked several of the small tropical plant offerings, and how they had been arranged. But for now, just could not find 'the' one succulent that keeps demanding my attention. :-) But daughter did good -- and purchased a large, cocktail (martini) glass, and small 'air plant' to go with it -- as a "small & cool" upcoming birthday gift for a friend. Our stop at 'Elderberry' was fun, and the visit will be fondly-remembered for our next time in Port Moody.

One time we came here to buy peonies together the owner insisted in giving us aged peonies that were already fully bloomed that would have died in a few days (despite my request for tighter buds). The most recent purchase the flowers came half wilted and the tulips and hydrangeas were already dying. See photo. Day 2 and most were shrivelled up and lifeless. What a shame to pay so much money to have dying flowers. Debating if we should still come here going forward.

The bouquet was tiny, the flowers are already old, yet the cost suggested something much more substantial. The pricing vs. quality feels completely out of sync, and the presentation did not match expectations at all. This location is the much worse lotus florist than the Brentwood mall location. This experience felt misleading, and I wouldn't come back or recommend it to others. RUN. UPDATE: In response to the manager's private comment--some issues can't be resolved behind the scenes. When customers pick up flowers they've paid for and pre-ordered days in advance, they reasonably expect them to be fresh and presentable. Receiving withered blooms and leaves damaged by insects on an important occasion is unacceptable. Not everyone has the time to wait for a fix, especially on the day the flowers are needed. As a person that has not only received but sent flowers, I would like to really know what the other side has received and if they are really happy, realistically, no one is ever going to complain about my nice gesture and I would assume everything is well and be happy with my purchase, but being on the receiving end I would not order from this place for delivery to anyone as I do not trust the quality of the arrangements being sent as well sending someone who is cranky to deliver them. As most arrangements are sent out of sorrow or love, it is not a good feeling for anyone receiving those arrangements from some one who is just going to bring the mood down at delivery.

I came here specifically to support a local business and I was in search of some holly or other…read moredecorative Christmas foliage. I was pleased to find some holly but frankly I found the customer service less than friendly and not particularly inviting.... I think all the local products are cool but if you're going to have a niche small business it's integral to be friendly to your customers or at the very least acknowledge them. The fellow at the sales counter seemed almost irritated that I was buying something. The only sense of happiness I got from him was the moment he asked me if I'd like it wrapped up and I said "nah it's okay like that" he was happy for a second. I like to give businesses and people a second try but frankly this store didn't have enough that I'd come back for despite the dismal employee... I initially went there for florals and found a few mini poinsettia and a bucket of holly which is luckily what I wanted! But in future would not come here for flowers because they didn't have any others. I know it's hard to get by in this time but if there's anything that will save you it's customer loyalty which you can only build through interacting with your customers.

Fading like a flower…read more.. After the florist I have been to for over 10 years screwed up badly a few times consecutively, I decided to change (the biggest failure of any business is losing loyal decade long customers over incompetence to deliver what customers request and paid for). The first couple of times were exceptional good with my orders here. However, the last 2 times I needed to ask them to redo the whole floral arrangement and design (funny how I have to tell them what to add and how to wrap it :facepalm) I paid extra for that which I didn't mind cause most of the time we buy flowers for special occasions such as birthdays, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, etc... a decent florist or flower shop should keep that in mind. Can't just whatever with a flower order especially a customer pay good money for them (can't be the same result as me picking a few dandelions off the sidewalks, wrap it with a sandwich bag and voila.. call it the day). Anyways ordered a dozen of pink rose bouquet for a relative's birthday (preordered it a few days ahead, website said $72 but store charged me $92 before tax... perhaps update your website?) When I went to pickup the rose bouquet, I was literally speechless. It's utterly one of the worst bouquet of roses I have ever seen, I literally could've pickup one from Safeway for $19.99 and would've been 10x more pleasing to look at. The roses look as it just did a marathon at the Sahara desert, some of the leaves have bug bites and a 5 year old could've done the wrapping better. I was too embarrassed to give it as is, had to go home to put the roses in a glass vase with some water, trimmed off the bug bite leaves, rewrapped it. I would've just ask for a refund if time wasn't tight. (:facepalm) Seriously, it is unacceptable because just like I said most flower orders are for a special occasion or special someone (seldom to an ex and hope they choke on a bug). I don't need an apology or want anything in return, but please deliver a product at least presentable for what your customers paid for. Unfortunately wouldn't be a repeat for me, this was the 3rd time it failed to deliver. (maybe it's time for me to secretly borrow my neighbours roses from his rose bed and master the artistry of being a good florist). Are good florists hard to find nowadays or the creativity is fading like a flower??
