Admittedly, it is nice to fill the gas tank and the belly in one stop. The gasoline is provided by Valero at competitive prices, but not as low as the Speedways and other no-names of the world. The shop itself does not look very different than the older versions, but there is more variety of soft drinks and snacks, and the coffee seems to also be up a notch or two. Their hot snacks are about the same, with all manner of hot dogs, and other cylindrical foods grilling on the hot tubular steel of the original hot dogger. Yes, you can get a burger shaped like a taquito. In fact, we tried 5 varieties of these semi-Mexican flauta-like creations, and found them fairly tasty and easy to use in a moving motor vehicle. Not that they would become a sought after part of my diet, but in a pinch on the highway, they would do quite nicely. Not bad @ 5 for $4. The entire stop for gas and grub was less than ten minutes. We saved time not needing to make another stop in the almost 2 hour cruise to Queens, NY. The restrooms were clean, too.

My sister LOVED the first one. The day the second one was delivered, she ended up in the hospital. I called the answering service to try to get the delivery aborted but that didn't work. I emailed them and got an answer email back right away, even though it was in the evening. But then one of their employees (shout out to Nadine!!) actually went to my sister's house, got the arrangement and took it back. She's going to redo it and deliver it again when I tell her my sister is back home. And she was worried about my sister's mail lying outside so she covered it with a plastic bag! The weak link in all this is Purple Pansy's answering service - they didn't pass my message on. Just call during business hours (which are a bit odd) or email for better service.

I have many children, & attest that this store has always been too high priced unless they had a special which made our shopping. That made our shopping there more spurious and ad hoc, which is probably not helpful for their loyalty and forecasting. The store has not a huge diversity of goods and any goods there are paying for product placement on a retail shelf for which the consumer pays and thus online shopping has wholly eclipsed this business model. The staff always worked very hard and they did seem happy so I hope they were because the morale is very difficult with so little buying and foot traffic. I as a customer could feel the same that maybe why I did not really really want to be in there, despite the bright colors of their decor, and the whole concept of babies and happiness. I recall they had some relationship with other retailers in the $BBY network and yet the online buying was not as fluid as to make for a click and collect feature. Lastly, these stores were located far out in suburbia, where there is too much distance for easy buying and driving so much is tiring specially, with young children, furthering our lack of use of such a store. All in all it was a business matter for another time.

Huge selection at the store was great, wasn't overwhelming but it was good to know that I had all different kinds of options and what they were like. Plenty of clothes and toys for boys and girls.
