Kunafa for those who don't know is shredded phyllo dough which is layered with cheese and baked to give it that crispy texture yet having the stretchy pull from the cheese. The combination of this savory Kunafa with the booza really makes it a delectable combo. The Turkish + Dubai chocolate Kunafa (half and half) has been my favorite but they have a few options to try. This was my first time at this Sugar Shane's location, as I have only been to the midtown location. I learned from the guy who was working that the cookies here are baked and transported from the Midtown location. That said, I found the selection to be lacking given that there are always so many delectable options at the Midtown location. For example, there were none of the thick/tall cookies that I think of as being signature to Sugar Shane's. There were also no other dessert options than the few cookies in stock. As far as Sugar Shane's goes, I'd recommend a trip to the midtown location or possibly stopping by this location earlier in the day when the selection may be larger.
