I mentioned I was almost at Season 10 (2 discs missing) and that if she is not able to get them, then I would like a refund at least for the cost of me buying season 10 on Amazon (2 day delivery, $15.00). Mid sentence she said no refund and hung up on me. As the old saying goes...buyer beware and be smarter than I was. This place, this owner, lacks integrity and has proven that, no matter where you live or how old they are, these kind of people will always exist. You have now lost 4 customers within my household and I will make sure to share my story with the many people I know in Orillia and elsewhere. Good job on your customer service skills and using your judgement and mathematical skills at losing, at most $15.00 by getting the disks for me, new or used. I weighed and calculated the price I would like to get and the min price I would accept based on reasonable profit margin, FULLY expecting I would have to haggle price. Top price you can expect for gold (unless premium brand gold Tiffany's etc or rare vintage pieces) is 80% of melt value. I inspected each piece with a jewelers loop to find markings. We showed up right around closing time (they close at two) but they had a gent in the room already. I was greeted by the father and told they would take us as soon as they finished up (around 15 minutes,) if we wanted to wait. We were taken in, VERY courteous, polite, friendly and professional. I was impressed the son could recognize most of the pieces without a jewelers loop and those few he couldn't he put through a spectrometer and got confirmation instantly. The whole process took approximately 15 minutes... and we had a lot of pieces. In the end their offer was EXACTLY (within a few dollars) of the top price I expected to get. Paid cash on the spot. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that if you want a very positive experience... especially if you are not educated on value, to see this father and son team. I would not hesitate to trust their assessment of gold value now even if I didn't know a thing about it. If I could give a 10 star rating out of 5 I would.
