Another visit at the Barrie Antique store. I had a great time exploring the market. Staff were helpful, they would take down items for us and store it until we are ready to cash out. Some were always willing to chat and share stories about the items on display. The store is a treasure trove! you will find everything from vintage collectibles to unique gifts and one-of-a-kind decor. I spent hours browsing through the mix of furniture, decor, and collectibles. The atmosphere is cozy, easy to get lost in the nostalgia :-) There is limited parking available. Prices are reasonable, and tax in. You might just score a great deal on that perfect item. read more

Do not buy from here - overpriced and overrated. I browsed for about 30 mins on the two levels, which be careful as I tripped over uneven wood flooring. I found one piece whoever it was 3 times the price seen across the internet. I went to ask the sales lady at the register a question about the prices and if she could ask the seller if they would go down as I like to support local vendors. However the lady behind the register was so mean and condescending that she made me uncomfortable. I then asked if she could call the vendor to see if we could work out a deal then. She immediately said no and had the two other ladies behind the register area gang up on me and turned me off from ANY sale. I wouldn't go back in to that antique store just because of their horrible customer service and attitude. I was trying to give the vendor a sale plus get this item at a fair price - not be taken advantage of or belittled. I will buy the piece from the internet now and good luck with that store. Over 4 vendors were locked out of their spaces.... Seems shady to me! read more

I love antiques...vintage pieces and the best part is the hunt for them. Today I found the mecca of antiques. The Barrie Antiques Centre is a warren of little rooms and alcoves each claimed by a different vendor. The vendor themselves aren't there so you are free to browse at your leisure without any pressure. There are also multiples levels so the whole discovery process took me a few hours and that was me "skimming". It was so vast I had to start using my phone to take pictures which I emailed to myself along with rough coordinates so that I could narrow my list down to something approaching realistic. I will go back and spend more money there. My little car only holds so much. The prices depend on the vendor and pieces range from lovely costume jewelry (gift for my patient wife) to art deco furnishings (for me) to military memorabilia (WW2 specifically for my brother) This place gives kijiji a solid run for their money. This place is the best Antiques establishment in Barrie! When you walk in, the foyer is set up just like an old-fashioned General Store with all manner of unique period products displayed on racks and shelves straight out of the 1930s (and earlier!). There are numerous vendors, each with their own booth and selling prices. Plenty of stunning antique lighting, Victorian pieces, Farmhouse, retro, advertising, shabby chic... you name it! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and parking is not a problem - you can wander about for hours to find something cool. All in all, a great place to spend an afternoon! read more

I find this to be a great store to wander through. It is made up of various vendors spread out over 3 floors of an old ware house. The staff aren't pressuring you to buy anything and with the variety of vendors you can find just about anything. Because it is made up of many vendors though I find the prices can wildly fluctuate and sometimes be grossly unfair. I have see once the same item between two separate vendors and one had the item underpriced and the other had it very overpriced. I would recommend this to anyone looking as they have everything from old store fixtures to home furnishings to military odds and ends to old books and everything in between. read more
