Gentleman inside was friendly and not pushy at all. I've started buying mostly online and occasionally come in to pick it up. Real pleasure to leave a glowing review. Too bad they don't open up a bar here - would be a great place to go for a few drinks. On a serious note, what I liked most were (a) service, (b) selection, and (c) the options they give. By options, I mean they will ship you your purchase, both buy and sell, and even convert some of my stuff into bars of gold. Could not be happier, and never once argued. Good job Muzeum! Ps. I think they are now by appointment only - guy told me they were clearing out some inventory and would be back to full service by April 2017.

Neither dark alley, nor seedy nameless locked door in sight (I have been to some of those - be forewarned and walk away). There is an internal locked door however, and rightly so - your consultation will be confidential and secure. Daniel and Justin behaved with utmost courtesy and professionalism. Daniel took lots of time to walk me through his assessment of all my items, and I received sound advice that helped me make decisions I felt good about. I am very sensitive to the pushy "know-it all" sales approach, and trust me, this experience was far from it - these guys are friendly, warm and respectful. I will refer friends and family, and will most certainly return when the opportunity arises in the future. Thank you!

My experience today highlighted serious issues with how sellers are treated. I initially brought photos into the store. Staff (John) sent the photos to the owner's son, Jarred, who responded with an $1,800 cash quote. I went home to retrieve the physical bag and brought it back. The associate logged the bag's condition internally as 9/10 (excellent, with dust bag) and resent photos. Despite explaining three times that I was feeling unwell due to low blood sugar and asking them to speed up or offer a piece of sugar, I was made to wait over 30 minutes while customers who arrived after me were served first. I left briefly to eat nearby and returned. Upon returning, I was suddenly told the offer was dropped to $1,200 cash. When I expressed frustration, I was publicly told in front of other customers that I was 'confused,' and was offered $50 for my 'time' which was only reframed as 'coffee money' after I became visibly distressed by the public humiliation. To de escalate, Joe the manager moved me to a private back room. Once inside, the associate admitted that the original $1,800 quote was indeed real. They eventually "honored" the $1,800 payout, and management apologized both on site and in a follow up phone call. I hold a full audio recording of the resolution inside the back room cause I didn't trust them anymore after basically calling me a "liar" in front of others. Advice for future sellers: Be aware that they actively pay $20-$30 for positive reviews, so online ratings do not reflect every customer's reality. Be careful answering questions about why you are selling, as seller vulnerability is often used as leverage. Get every quote in writing before walking through the door, and do not accept sudden price drops after being made to wait.

Pre‑Order Nightmare. Buyer Beware: Six‑Month Delay, No Accountability!!!! placed a preorder with…read moreToronto Gold Bullion (TGB) under their advertised 2‑day FastShip delivery guarantee, expecting a simple, straightforward transaction the way any customer service should be. Instead, my order turned into a six‑month ordeal that caused me an enormous amount of stress and frustration. What should have been a routine purchase became one of the most exhausting consumer experiences anyone could have. My emails went unanswered for long stretches -- sometimes 6-7 weeks with no response. Updates were vague or nonexistent. At one point, I was even told that I would need to pay for the time spent reading and responding to my emails, which added even more stress to an already difficult situation. At no point did I receive any clear documentation or proof that my order was actually being sourced. There was no indication that my order would ever be delivered. Watching months pass with no transparency, and feeling like I was being punished for asking questions or filing with government oversight agencies, was incredibly stressful -- especially when you've entrusted a significant amount of money to a business and have no idea what's happening behind the scenes. When the delay became completely unreasonable, I escalated the issue through the Better Business Bureau and provincial consumer protection services. Even with these agencies involved, communication from the company remained sporadic and unhelpful. Deadlines were missed, explanations kept shifting, and requests for alternative solutions using in‑stock items were dismissed. It felt like every attempt to resolve the situation was met with resistance or silence, and the stress of not knowing what was happening only grew. As the situation dragged on with no progress, I reached a point where I genuinely didn't know what else to do. Things only began to change when I consulted a paralegal to understand my rights and prepared to file a Small Claims Court claim. I even considered contacting local and federal police services and other government agencies for guidance, simply because I felt completely stuck and overwhelmed. When you're dealing with a half‑year delay and no transparency, you start looking for any legitimate avenue to get help or clarity. Only after significant escalation and maximum pressure did the company finally agree to ship part of the order and refund the remainder. I did eventually receive my partial shipment and refund, but the process was far more difficult, stressful, and drawn out than it ever should have been. The emotional toll of dealing with months of uncertainty, unanswered messages, and inconsistent communication was honestly draining. In my experience, TGB's preorder system allows customer funds to be held for long periods without clear timelines, accountability, or evidence of progress. This is extremely concerning given the substantial amounts of money customers entrust to bullion dealers. Their advertised ratings also do not match the reality reflected in many recent customer reviews, which potential buyers should pay close attention to. Based on what I went through, I strongly advise anyone considering a preorder with TGB to review recent customer feedback and proceed with caution. In my own experience, other Canadian dealers such as Border Gold and SilverGoldBull have been far more reliable, communicative, and transparent. This review reflects my personal experience and opinion as a consumer.
