I have enjoyed two stays at this incredible property. Our most recent visit was a get together with family and friends who are spread out across the country. We needed a perfect place to enjoy time together and Edgetts Lodge came to mind. The weather was perfect for our trip and the kids enjoyed kayaking while us older people cooked, ate, enjoyed lawn games and basically had a blast. The Pine River view is awesome! The caretakers did a great job at making sure our visit was perfect! This is a great location with privacy and there is a local store just a couple miles away that carries pretty much anything you'd need. Kayaks are on property as is a well equipped kitchen that easily met our needs with 20 people. There was plenty of room for sleeping, eating and privacy if needed. The deck is perfect if you like to be outside and the grill is ready to fire up or you can build a fire in the pit by the Pine River. The fact the lodge was built with lumber from on property adds to the comforts. If you want a fireplace, this in one that will amaze you! Enjoy small things such as pics and posts of local stories. WiFi is on site and more than met our needs. I couldn't recommend this any higher and I rarely review anything! If you want to have a super up north vacation, this is the best I have found in 55 years of enjoying MI. read more

This past Wednesday through Sunday I attended a reunion of college friends at Edgetts Lodge in downstate Michigan near Cadillac. We couldn't have picked a nicer lodge to get together at, fish and laugh. It was so good to see everyone and the lodge was unbelievable and spacious. I have visited many log cabins living in Michigan's Upper Peninsula before but this one ranks at the top. The craftsmanship and detail were exceptional. The closer you looked the more detail and artistry you saw in the construction and thought put into it. The location of the lodge on the bank of the Pine River with a outdoor area we could all congregate on during the day made it even better. Fishing was done by all and I caught five beautiful Brown Trout and kept the two biggest ones, 18 inch and 19.5 inch. For our next get together I am sure my buddies will recommend Edgetts Lodge again. read more

I love the lodge--it's like walking into a piece of art. I don't think that I could imagine a better place to kick back and relax in the beautiful state of Michigan. There's plenty of space to spread out and lots of stuff (books, games, ect) to keep you occupied. My favorite thing is to sit, read, and chill in one of the arm chairs by the huge windows that overlook the woods and the river (and look for deer). It's nice to know that Doug is nearby in case you need anything, especially being in an unfamiliar and remote place. There's a big binder with answers any question that you could have (which always makes me more comfortable and at home) as well as a photo album that shows how the lodge was built (magnificent). I spent four days at beautiful Edgetts Lodge located in Luther Michigan. This lodge is nestled in a secluded spot overlooking the Pine river. The Pine river has great trout fishing. On the first day we caught several trout early in the morning and had them for breakfast. Each and every day we caught trout. The fully equipped kitchen leads into a spacious dining and sitting area with a beautiful fireplace. The view from this area is spectacular. The lodge situated on the hill allows you a beautiful view of the river and forest below. Since the early 1970's, I've stayed at many fishing lodges. This was the finest I've ever stayed at. What a great spot for corporate team meetings or families. I look forward to returning again next year. read more

We recently had a fishing/golfing weekend at the lodge and enjoyed our time there immensely. The photos online are great but once you see the lodge and property up close, you will be very impressed! The property and lodge speak for itself. Beyond that Mark has really thought of all the details for a rental property that's this size, all of the games in the basement, everything you would ever need in the kitchen and the multiple nice kayaks to name just a few that we took advantage of. Working with Mark was seamless and professional at all times. Doug (caretaker) was helpful and professional as well. I recently stayed at the Lodge with a group of old friends. We wanted a comfortable place to hang out and Edgetts Lodge far exceeded our expectations . The lodge is over the top inside and out. The log structure was fascinating The decor was awesome . The level of comfort we enjoyed was awesome. Mark is one Hell of a great host and Doug the caretaker was very helpful and a pleasure to meet . I am a newly retired school teacher and was in need a quiet but plush getaway so I could fish, bird watch, and reflect with family and friends. I hit the jackpot with Edgetts Lodge. The property is spectacular and I can tell that the owner and caretaker is concerned about the wellness of their guests. This is my first visit and am already making plans for next year. A small group of my old friends rented this beautiful cabin for a long weekend of trout fishing. We were absolutely blown away by the immaculate detail of the cabin, and the fishing was great too.
