Great friendly service and reasonably priced! Turnaround was fast as well. So glad I got them done before Thanksgiving this year!

    Rock USA Cutlery

I have patronized ROCK USA since it opened a couple of years ago, and I have always been very happy…read morewith my dealings with its owner, Wallace Rockwell. He is completely honest and trustworthy. Being a United States Marine, you can always rely on Wallace to give you the straight scoop on everything. He is definitely a man of honor and integrity. And when it comes to edged tools--knives, razors, hatchets, cleavers, etc. etc.--there is no one who can hold a candle to Wallace. I have taken knives to him that looked like they were beyond fixing, and he has taken them and turned into things of beauty. He has a wide selection of high quality knives and other edged tools at reasonable prices. Wallace also has a small museum in the back of his store that is well worth visiting even if you don't buy anything at the time. This museum showcases primarily Camillus Cutlery knives and other objects and pictures that were taken back in the day Camillus Cutlery was in operation. Most of these knives and tools belong to another Marine, Greg Cobb. For anyone who doesn't know it, Camillus Cutlery was the number one business in Camillus for many years. It was a sad day for the village when the Cutlery was forced to shut down. However, Wallace and Greg are doing their best to keep the proud memory of the Cutlery alive. For many years this business turned out knives and other edged tools that were among the best made in the USA. Anyone who knows anything about the history of knife-making in America knows very well the name Camillus Cutlery and the high quality products they consistently turned out.Mant a grandfather and father, when he was buying a first knife for his offspring bought a Camillus Cutlery knife for him. They made knives that, if you took good care of them, lasted a lifetime. And when they were in operation, if you had a Camillus knife or tool that was defective or broken, you could take it to the Cutlery, and they would repair it, and sharpen it, for free. I myself took several Camillus knives back to the factory and had them repaired and sharpened. I recommend ROCK USA without reservation. Even if you don't buy something on your first trip there, it is still worth making the trip there to visit the museum.
