ADK Knife Works bladesmith David Gray is a craftsman who truly knows his stuff and provides quality professional work when it comes to sharpening and restoring knives and all kinds of blades. I had several kitchen knives and a machete that were sharpened to perfection at a reasonable cost and quick turnaround. His explanation of convex edges and why they are superior to conventional sharpening techniques was both interesting and a quality learning experience that cannot be equaled by browsing websites or promotional ads. read more

Specialties

We provide custom cutlery for chef's, home cooks to outdoorsman and everyone in between. We also provide a sharpening service either here at the shop or we will come to your home and sharpen your knives right there within a 30 mile radius from our shop and weather permitting.

History

Established in 2015.

What started out as a hobby turned into a deep dive into a passion and servicing our community. It took years learning what steels and grinds are best for what application the knife is meant for. Now we offer sharpening as well from knives, scissors to garden tools and general tooling

Purchased my only custom knife from and made by David Gray. I bought the Companion to be a user but he built a Queen instead!!! Beautiful and well built. Far exceeded my expectations. AAA+++ If you want a custom made knife or just need some knifes sharpened, (I've sent him a few batches), David Gray at AKW is the man! read more
