He has had GREAT swimming instructors who take the time to get to know my son and his other classmates. They work with them at their level, but also motivate them to push themselves and improve their swimming skills. But most importantly, the instructors make sure that they have a good time and have fun. I'm very happy with the swim lessons here and will continue putting my son in lessons in the future. Overall, the pool is a great place and I love the local feel it has to it. I see a lot of regulars there. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Very clean facility and will be coming again and again.

The instructors--Regis, Azul, Valeria, and Crane--are all extremely patient. They taught me everything from basic floating to mastering the breaststroke. I used to be terrified of the deep end, but their guidance gave me the confidence to swim there completely fear-free. The facility itself is immaculate, featuring very clean showers with hot water. Both the trainers and the front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. Plus, their app makes it incredibly easy to view your schedule, reschedule, or cancel classes. He was four years old at the time and has special needs. His lessons were funded through Regional Center, which Waterworks knew. Initially, there were concerns about his ability to hold onto the instructor piggyback-style while other children took their turns. Since that was difficult for him, his parents had him sit with them on the ledge between turns, then return to the water when it was his turn. Waterworks told his parents this arrangement was fine as long as they were comfortable with it, which they were. Shortly afterward, Waterworks canceled all of his remaining lessons without notifying his parents. His mother had to call to find out why. Only then was she told that he could participate only in private lessons. If there were concerns about safety or the lesson format, those should have been clearly discussed with his parents before canceling everything--especially after staff had approved the arrangement. The lack of communication and consideration for a young child with special needs was unacceptable. Regional Center refers many children with special needs to this establishment. Based on our family's experience, I strongly encourage parents to stay closely involved and ask specific questions about accommodations, participation requirements, and cancellation practices before enrolling. Families deserve clear communication, consistency, and respectful treatment. We are very disappointed, especially with how many obstacles families of special needs already have to face. In

The shaded area is smaller than woodland park pool...something to keep in mind. The lifeguards are friendly and enforce rules. I prefer Woodland Park pool simply because it's closer to my house and there's more shade, but Las Posas still earns 5 stars!

They also have flick and float movie parties at the pool in the summertime. Great facility for residents. If you want to use it, you need to be a resident or a guest of a resident, so you should consider moving to our neighborhood!
