I am SHOCKED that there are any bad reviews here…read more I have had my hair cut and highlighted here by Shauna and Melissa (several times), and I love the results every time. I have also had Wendy and Rachel give me Shellac manicures, and they do fantastic jobs. I selected a nail color, and thought that was my only option. Rachel suggested a glitter ombre accent nail, and I couldn't be happier with the way it looks. I am actually one of those people who doesn't feel comfortable in places that are really cliquey, and Cory's never feels that way. The staff (regardless of whether they are the person taking care of you or not) is always friendly and accommodating. I guess I sort of get the comments about the one receptionist, but I wonder if that could just be because the rest of the staff is so friendly that her gruff nature really stands out in contrast. I brought my 4 year old daughter in to get her nails done, and the whole staff was so sweet to her, ooohing and aaahing over her nails, and the dress we had just bought for Christmas. They made her feel so special, and really that's what it's all about with little girls, isn't it?

The facility was comfortable and clean. I especially liked the nostalgic hardwood floors. Our party of 3 was seen and taken care of very quickly. My barber, Muhammad, was highly skilled in his field. As a result, I came in disheveled and left looking sharp and well-groomed. The other two members of my party were also pleased with their barber, Hasan's, work. I would definitely recommend this barber shop. If you are in town, why not give it a try? You may find it to be a memorable experience.

For starters.. I needed a hair cut. Badly. At this point, it was almost a year if not longer since…read moremy last cut. I used to be one of those people that insists that it's cheaper to do my own hair. Notice I said "used to be". Normally I'd bleach my hair at home, color it every couple weeks or month depending on what mood I was in. At one point, I even had dreadlocks. Which over the years & in the end.. took a nasty toll on my hair. I finally decided to let it be healthier & try to better my ways. This being, letting a professional handle it. Anyways, my cousin had told me about this salon - she has been coming here for a long time. I reached out to Tiffany for a consultation. Although embarrassed, I told her about all of my past & recent hair mistakes. I did want some coloring done - my hair was covered in dark box dye with some bright red underneath it somewhere. I knew my hair was damaged, but as a priority, still needed a cut regardless. She helped me make an appointment to visit as soon as possible. On arrival, I was greeted by her assistant Madie. Super nice & smiley - which I loved. She guided me to the chair & put my cape on. She even offered me a beverage. I was already loving this place. Tiffany greeted me shortly after - also, super nice & friendly. At this moment, I loved everyone's personalities. Tiffany cut my hair & Madie had washed and styled it. Both of the ladies were very informative & explained every step they did along the way. I left with a fresh do & an appointment for color! About a week later, I returned for color. A fresh balayage. Tiffany knew about the dark box dye & underlying red color on my hair. We went over a few photos I had picked out. Dissected them together, figuring out what would work best for me. I went into this journey knowing that we might not be able to lift my hair to be as light as I picked out - I was okay with that. I really appreciated the time they put into helping me understand everything. Madie & Tiffany both worked on my hair as a team & conquered it. In the end, with a few processes and treatments later.. we were able to get a fall inspired color (much lighter than anticipated). We named it "pumpkin chai". In the future, I can return to have it lightened further. For now & for fall tho.. I'm gonna leave it be. I'm very happy with my experiences at Vivid. Their knowledge and expertise is far beyond other salons. They're constantly furthering their skills whenever possible. Which is super important to me. Staying on top of current trends, colors or processes - is how you stay the best! I would recommend anyone to give them shot. Mention my name & you'll get $20 off your first visit - heck, you'll get me a credit too.
