Have a loan with them, car was wrote off, now they say I owe them More then what there own statement of accounts says, No one will answer why. When reapplying for a new vehicle, was told I was out of the service area Northern SK. Was sent a screen shot of the regional Manager of SK and MB, when I emailed the regional Manager, she said she doesnt deal with these things, I sent her the screen shot, and she went to the dealership saying I was harassing her for catching her in a Blunt lie. when I was behind, They called me 3 times a day (I did answer all 3 calls) so when you owe them anything, they have 0 issue harassing you, but when you want answers, they wont return a call or email. wont update credit bureau, out of spite knowing other lenders need it paid off first. read more

Worst company, we were in a position where unfortunately this company was our only option. Everything seemed great, we expected the higher interest but what we didnt expected doing more research afterwards is that they "sold " us a vehicle twice it's price and gouged us with payments. Even after explaining we couldn't afford more then that they gave us at our top end and wouldn't work with us. So 2 months after we had asked for the dates to change as when we first signed we gave them our payment dated and they did the complete opposite. Then they said they would but we would have to signed a whole new contract. So I said forget it then. Another month later we tried contacting them again almost begging to change the dates because it was causing the payments to bounce and we wanted to keep in good standings. Finally I got them to work with us. Now after that the payment were coming out on correct days thank goodness. But then one day they stopped coming out and we couldnt figure out why so I called again and they informed us it was only temporary change and now were at risk for repossession because we had 2 missed payments. I asked what aare you talking about we asked for this from the get go why would this only be temporary? They were so rude to me, talking to me like i was scum. Calling me names. Just kept threatening to take the vehicle and laughing at me. So when i had asked as to why we were never contacted after the payment was missed they had said well we sent a letter to this email (which was incorrect ) and texted and called this phone number (whis was just a bunch of random numbers) i said none of those contacts are correct what the heck, i told them i was looking at my contract and all our phone numbers are correct on here so how do you have the wrong info on file? So they "changed" and said we were good. Now again a month later still no payments coming out. Again called and got some bullshit lies and stories. So again changed and fixed everything with them but nothing actually changed. So i told them i was done when they threatened to take the vehicle. It was only after that someone started texting and emailing me on my correct email and phone number "trying to work with us " and i just said no take your vehicle. It wasnt until 4 months later they came and got it. And now im stuck with this on my credit and may never be able to get another vehicle again because of them. I have 4 kids and have been walking and taking cabs so much because i cant get a vehicle because lenders see me as a risk when i never was. It breaks my heart. from the beginning I was aware I was being overcharged, ripped off. The price and "fees" and interest were astronomical but I was desperate for a safe vehicle. then 2 years later during a divorce, as a single parent who had to endure cost of moving (TWICE) while easing back to work following stress leave (RN with stress leave) I was unable to pay very high insurance premium. I informed them, and they were going to take back the car due to lapsed insurance. I stopped my payments as such, was told to clear the vehicle of my belongings, and to put the key in it. I was contacted soon after by a bailiff, I explained the situation and she was understanding. She said she would contact me when she was coming to seize the vehicle. No one came. That was in August and it took until Feb/March before anyone even answered back. Then, when I did get a reply, they said that they were no longer seizing the vehicle, they were "walking away from the asset" and they would be seeking a large (almost 15k payment) they offered me a lump sum payment offer of almost 9k, OR $160 biweekly to pay off 15k. If I did not agree, they were threatening small claims court. Had that offer been made in the beginning when I requested a forbearance due to a brief time of hardship they ignored me, and maintained theyd be collecting the vehicle. At this point, I do not know if I am the legal owner, if (bc they are in Ontario and I am in NS) they have a seize OR sue or a seize AND sue law, and if it is worth making the car road worthy. Had I known the proper details, I could have kept the vehicle roadworthy. Now the car had depreciated exponentially more while it has been sitting idle, and I definitely feel that (although I understand my shortcomings in fulfilling the contract) their lack of communication and solution focused customer service has rendered the value of the vehicle significantly less than it should be. They should have some reciprocal respect for our agreement, and should work with clients who are enduring periods of unanticipated stress. All of this happened after 3 years of paying this loan and maintaining my emd of the agreement. I asked for a brief forbearance and was completely ignored. Now I am unsure if 1) fixing the car is worthwhile and 2) still dont know if they are entitled to take it so 3) why invest money into repair if I am not being given clear information? All of this seems beyond fishy and illegitimate, but when I got the car I had a young child and desperately needed a new and safe vehicle. Now I have been completely without a vehicle for quite some time, and can't begin to know what my next steps are. Worst customer service I've ever encountered and very crooked business practices. Definitely do not recommend them!! And, I will add, they came to be in my life through Hayden Agencies in Halifax! Eden Park financed the car they sold me! If I had a do over, and what I would recommend, I would just go without a car for 3-4 months and save the high interest double the cost/value payments (mine was $227 biweekly for a 2016 CX5 and additional $300+/mth for the insurance!!) Buy yourself a reliable fixer upper to insure, and buy it outright fully paid off. Bonus points for saving to pay for a year insurance outright. Good. Luck! (And, end rant!) read more

Their customer service is horrible and they are not honest trustworthy people. They could at least try to offer remedies and better repayment solutions to customers that may be struggling to maintain payments during any hardships knowing that they are charging double the amount of your vehicle! Instead they will argue and break promises to NOT go into your account. Allow bank fees to get crazy and than tack it onto your payment as if it is principal. Anyone looking to file a class action? I have been with this company since 2019. At that time I had not owned a car for approximately 8 years. Other companies were offering 20 - 22% interest on my loan. Edan Park offered 11%. So I cannot in good conscience say they are crooks. When I have needed to differ a payment I have had no problems. read more

So i decided to continue.. but needed to work in the US.. CALLED 1855 366 8667 followed their prompts. finally talked to Sam Batth.. said to her that I need to change my number and I need to have a letter stating that I brought the vehicle to the US.. said that they do not do that .. and I was told 3 months earlier that they told me that I cant bring it.. which I WAS NEVER TOLD. I am currently dealing with Eden Park for my car loan, and I have never had a more stressful, horrible experience. To further everyone's point in this review thread, It seems as though I am not the only one who has experienced these kinds of treatments. I have called, emailed them on three separate occasions about to please not take money out of my account as I know it was going to bounce because the vehicle had to have work done on it and I wasn't going to be able to afford the bi weekly payments and I wanted to make an alternative date so to make sure my payments don't bounce. This has happened THREE times. They have blatantly ignored me, hasn't returned one email or one call to me other than to demand more money. They took money out anyway and as I told them, it bounced and came back NSF. They have threated to repossess my car if I didn't make a payment, threatened to sell my things from inside the car at Auction. I have sought out legal action /. advice on what I can do. I am wondering if anybody would be willing to join a class action lawsuit OR if this would even merit one! Any support, advice would be greatly appreciated! read more

They lie about terms saying they will put you in a vehicle with higher interest rate for a year, then take the vehicle back and find you a cheaper interest rate . The sent me a vehicle that was damaged . When you contact them no one passes on messages to the next . I originally was quite happy with Eden park customer service when I got a used car loan but there has been a change in their customer service lineup for the worse. there seems to be one lady and a man manager that work the customer service department now and she is not very friendly. the lady is downright rude. the manager is quite nice after everything gets explained. but seriously, the lady acts like she can say whatever she wants in a rude and condescending way and it's fine. I refuse to deal with her. bring back the old team. They were kind, considerate and very helpful But most importantly they didn't talk down to you. ZERO STARS WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. read more

A bunch of liars. They'll promise you loan protection then when you try to discuss it with them, they'll say they no longer offer it, without explanation as to when or why it was removed. They'll lure you in saying that your interest rate will go down and that you'll receive a 2% rebate after two years as long as you've never missed a payment and as long as your account is in good standing, then when you discuss it with them, they'll say it's no longer offered, again without explanation as to when or why it they no longer offer it. They also won't tell you about their policy changes and when you ask for further information regarding their policies, they simply ignore you or avoid the question. Best part is, they still advertise on their own website about the rebate program. They say they're all about the clients, making clients' lives easier and better and that they're "Service Obsessed"...it's a bunch of bull, they're only after their money and could care less about their clients or keeping their word on their own policies. read more

I was told that after a year of never missing payments I could get my loan lowered one year went by I received a call from someone that offered me to lower my loan when I phoned back I was told that program was no longer offered. Then I phoned the person that originally offered it to me and they refused to return my phone calls. They are a high interest loan company, as such you are buying back your credit rating. They will suck out every penny from you that they can. Yes I ended up in a position where I had to get a high interest loan. That said, they are still the absolute bottom of the proverbial barrel. The people there are monotone, humourless and don't hesitate to use a threatening demeanour. If your expecting good people that are willing to work with you to get beyond a difficulty, you won't find it here. After building the house, things got harder. And with the need to buy a "new" car, even harder would get. I looked around for car dealers, and Eden Park was the option then. I bought a car that at least didn't have any problems for a "long time "(honda Accord2014) at the time I paid $ 24000 at 13% interest. I was told by the seller that after 1 year or 2, call them and ask to revise the interest but as long as we never had late payments, which has never happened until now 3 years ago. I called there and they said, it was over already doing this interest review, I insisted again and told them to come get the car because I would not pay another dollar . Then they called to say they were going to drop 2% which was better than nothing. But I still think this is not a help to those who are already struggling in life. My credit right now is better. As a company they are professional, responsive and accurate. It's not their fault I have horrible credit and only qualify for a high-risk 30% interest rate car loan. It's not their fault that the car dealerships who advertise "we finance everyone!" are (in some cases) selling the dregs of the auction that no reputable dealer would put on their lots. If you're reading this thinking "are they a reputable company to do business with?" the answer is a resounding yes. I have never had any issues at all with their customer service. But if you're reading this thinking "This car loan is going to be really expensive, do I really need a car?" the answer is: Please reconsider very, very carefully. You will end up paying double or triple the sticker price of the car. But don't blame the finance company. Like me, you've got nobody to blame but yourself if you sign on the dotted line. Legal loan sharks that make it impossible to get out of their contracts early. Our current car is financed at 25% ($16,000 car that we're paying $27,000 for). We had newly arrived in Ontario and couldn't start work until we had a vehicle. We were told we could refinance after a year of on-time payments. What they didn't say was that, that meant we had to trade-in for a newer, and more expensive car, for a longer term. We can't even sell the car, because they're the lien holders. This company takes advantage of people like us (with little credit history). Stay away from them at all costs. read more
