If you have a parent, in law, any elderly person that you love and care for- I suggest that you stay away from Edencrest in Beaverdale. I can only speak to the memory care division. Supposedly patients are looked at every hour.. This is not done. A memory care patient -that cannot walk - will indeed try to get up and walk, fall, and off to the hospital they go.
Because they aren't looked at on a regular basis, they sit in there own waste and get urinary tract infections. With that come hallucinations and off to the hospital we go again. From the very beginning, they promise a free month's rent and all this wonderful care. My mother has been gone for going on two years and we just received a bill for a month's rent. We had never received our free months rent and yet the bill came. How shameless is that going on two years past my mother's death. The person at the front/gatekeeper is completely ruthless. A good example of this is she insisted she had sent us a bill every month since my mother's passing and that is simply not accurate. My last bill received was a year and a half ago. Shame on Edencrest in Beaverdale for their treatment of their patients in memory care. Shame on Edencrest for their treatment of family after the passing of a loved one. Now if you're looking to get rid of a loved one going into memory care, Edencrest is for you - otherwise stay away! read more
