Only downside [aside from the fact that the cute pharmacist has a girlfriend] is the location - right on the corner of Gants Hill roundabout with limited, if no parking at all. So, make sure you take a companion that can defend the car against deadly bacteria - otherwise known as traffic wardens, who rather shamelessly lurk around those high-profile streets at ridiculous hours [get a real job!!]

Out of the major supermarkets ASDA is far and away my favourite. Their superstores are packed full…read moreof goodies. They have the clothing label George, toys, CD's and loads of household goods. The range of food is excellent and the least costly of all the major stores. On site they have a pharmacy, optician, photo centre and a petrol station. They are also open 24hrs on a Tues, Wed, Thurs and Fri which means avoiding busy shopping hours. This is a great superstore and the only one I will do a big food shop at.

They are a chain store, and the leading health and beauty retailer in the United Kingdom. This branch inside the Westfield Stratford City Mall is large. We stopped in after having dinner at Nando's. For some reason, the cough medicine in the U.K. seems to be better than in the States. So we wanted to purchase a couple bottles to bring back home. Found them here at Boots. Price was fair. It was easy to find because the store was well organized and very clean. Service was spot on as well. Everytime we travel to London, we stay in the Stratford area. Now that we know that Boots is here, it is sure to be a regular stop as well.

You can buy most of your toiletries here and they have offers also. There is pushchair and wheelchair access as well as stairs to go inside. They also sell toys and other bulky items needed for babies such as changing mats and changing seats. The pharmacy also sells medicine for sore throats and colds and headaches just like a normal pharmacy. They have some cheap item under one pound like small kids combs and hair brushes.
