The store was more organized this time around, but it wasn't as packed either. The most noticeable thing about this time around is the non odor of fish smell. When we have gone to some Asian stores, the stink of fish is very strong from the moment you enter the store. This store was not the case. Hopefully this is not a one time thing. Hi everyone, just wanted to leave a review of German Gourmet on Columbia Pike…read more Before I begin, I want to identify what the ingredients are for a classic Reuben. You'll need two slices of seeded or marble rye bread, about six ounces of thinly sliced corned beef or pastrami, two slices of sharp Swiss cheese, roughly a quarter cup of well-drained sauerkraut, and two tablespoons of Russian or Thousand Island dressing. A little butter for toasting the bread and optional spicy brown mustard round it out. That said, what I actually received was the absolute worst Reuben I've ever had in my entire life. They used ham instead of corned beef or pastrami, an insult to the name. The Swiss was bland and low-quality, not sharp at all. There was no mustard, barely any Thousand Island, and I couldn't even detect any sauerkraut. The bread wasn't toasted, and they still charged me $12.50 with tax. If this is what passes for a Reuben at a supposed German delicatessen, save your money and go somewhere that actually knows what they're doing.

You can use your app to register it when you're checking out and then they will ask you if you'd like to use your same credit card that you use in your Amazon account. So you don't have to pull out your credit card or bank card to make the payment. Pretty bad ass. And they will pack your groceries into the paper bags for you unless you bring your own bag with you. Again excellent experience. I think I'll be coming back again.

Totes, gift cards and light bed spreads/blankets were passed out for first 100 in line (possibly less). I haven't been inside one until today. Clean and organized store. However, I find that prices are high especially for the Bailey's Crossroads community. One must have an Amazon prime account to take advantage of discounts but even then prices are still high compared to nearby grocery stores. Although this place is new, clean, and organized on day one, I don't see it being successful with the outrageous pricing.

I like the braised beef, and the beef ribs, but the ribs have a lot of bones, which contribute to the weight and hence the price. I was disappointed in the fish, the one time I had it. The eggplant stew and the spinach are good. I'd like the baked potatoes to be a bit crispier. I have bought items in the dry goods area a few times. My main concern is a lot of items don't have prices on them, and it's time consuming and awkward to have to take the item to the cashier and ask what the price is. I have also found the prices to be inconsistent, some too high and others lower than typical. I hope these issues will be resolved and the staff will become more organized, as it is a nice little market and in a great location.
