This bar has been here forever, a landmark in Oscoda. There is a nice long bar, pool table and some tables to sit at. It is nicely decorated and my wife says the women's bathroom is cute . The server and bartender are very welcoming and friendly. We had the chicken quesadillas and a Greek salad. Both items were fresh and delicious, best Greek salad in Iosco county. The E is our favorite bar/restaurant in Oscoda! We love the ambiance and the food. The owner decorates beautifully for every holiday. The bartender Cindy is our favorite person! The cooks are outstanding and we are looking forward to trying every item on the new menu. Seasonal soups are a must - if you haven't tried their seafood one you have to come early because it sells out- chunks of actual lobster- it's amazing. Their salads are huge and generously filled with healthy goodness. My favorite dish is the Margherita Flatbread and hubby's is the Hunter Burger. We love coming in to dine, play pool (two tables) and put tunes in the jukebox. They do hilarious and fun karaoke evenings. Whether you're just visiting or a regular, everyone is welcomed. My husband and I go to Edelweiss whenever we come to Oscoda. It is our go to place. Everything we have had there was delicious. The Reuben burger, reuben sandwich, Italian and club panini's were excellent, their burgers are great. They have a good cook. They give you a generous pour of wine. 16 oz bottle of Bud lite. Several Michigan beers on tap. They have had delicious soups seasonally. The service is good even when they have been busy. We do go earlier for dinner though. We like to sit at the bar and visit with the bartender Cindy. She's the best! She is fast and gives you great food and drink service. It is dark in there...it's a tavern people so if you want a brighter place to eat you might want to choose a different place. They have a pool table and a juke box with a good speaker, Lol We will be going back. read more

I was in Oscoda for a wedding and one of the attendees said we have to visit this place. He painted it as this major dive bar, but I have to differ. It's great lil townie bar with a decent selection of craft beers. They also have darts and two pool tables. The bartender was super-awesome for our rowdy group of 10+ on a Saturday afternoon. A couple people ordered burgz, which were grilled on a George Foreman grill (seriously). They seemed to like them. Shots were decently-sized. Prices were right, too. We spent a few bucks on the TouchTunes jukebox and took over the E for a couple hours. I'd not hesitate to come back next time I'm in Oscoda. read more

service was terrible. sat ourselves (3 adults and a dog) on the patio around 3 pm on a tuesday. had to go inside the restaurant and were greeted by other guests before being greeted by any staff. placed our order, and started with an appetizer. we waited for over an hour before the appetizer was even brought out, and were never informed on how long our wait time would be, offered more drinks, etc. also, ordered a burger for our dog, which was never received. i ordered the caprese sandwich, and it tasted like nothing. i WOULD NOT recommend this restaurant. read more

Wow. 5 of us stopped here to eat. They have an outdoor patio and the woman inside was really bothered with us wanting to sit outside. She said you can order in and take it outside but we won't serve you. Okay fine. Then the woman runs outside saying "you can't bring drinks on the patio". It was my water bottle almost empty. I was disappointed with my visit to Edelweiss Tavern. First, it is a tavern, so you shouldn't plan to come here for a meal as we did. Fortunately, someone (from Tait's) was serving a rib dinner ($13) on their back patio, and it was delicious, although I would have liked a few more ribs. I felt overcharged for our drinks. My wife had a specialty whiskey drink of strawberry lemonade ($4) that didn't taste like strawberries or lemonade. I had a pint of Two Hearted Ale that cost me $6! We didn't ask about happy hour (we were there at 6 pm on a Tuesday), but I left fairly unhappy. We had been meaning to try this place for a while, but I doubt that we'll go back. read more

Horrible customer service. Ive never felt so unwelcome in a bar. Bartender didn't want to be there when asked about food she wasnt happy about the possibility of food being ordered. Told us they had a very limited menu and due to them being so "busy" they were out of most food. They were not busy they just didnt want to cook. They actually suggested we go elsewhere.
