I have been taking lessons from trainer Marian Bickers at Cornerstone Equestrian for a while now…read more As an adult returning to riding, I tried several other trainers before I found this one, she is a great match. Flexible scheduling, reasonable prices, and excellent training are my main reasons for really liking this place. The location is pretty close to me, about 20 minutes from the Mall of Georgia, which is a good drive, not too far like a lot of places. Showing is definitely encouraged, and there is a fantastic team attitude, but it is not required and as I work full time with my own business, it doesn't always fit into my schedule so it's important to me that I am not required to show like at some barns. Marian is always professional, her concern for the horses is Priority One, and I feel as though my riding has improved drastically over my time with her. During the summer, my preteen daughter also took camp at Cornerstone and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend Cornerstone Equestrian to anyone.

We took the trail ride to flat rock which was good for beginner riders! It was a very pretty but mostly flat with one small hill toward the end. I would recommend booking a ride with them!

I quickly learned after being on team for two years that this gym is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. The thousands of dollars we paid for meet fees weren't fully used to pay meet fees, its was kept by Southern. After realizing what has been going on behind the scenes and the addiction issues the family that owns the gym has, i had to quickly move my kids to another gym, paying a whole new load of fees. Southern charged me for may tution, we left end of April. When reaching out to southern to get my $300 back, they declined. But they have no problem keeping the hundreds of dollars we gave for meet fees that were never even paid for the meets. This gym is extremely unprofessional and is not a safe place for children or your money.

They turned us down at the door. Made us schedule for another day, which we will not be attending. To management: I didn't think I would need to explain this but leaving a crap taste in a potential customer's mouth before they even have a chance to try your product/service is just bad for business. Especially when you're dealing with children. We will be choosing a different Dojo that's more parent friendly, there's 4 others in the area. Pathetic

There seems to be quite a bit of in and out traffic and as far as i can tell, there are 2 entrances/exits. The playground here is for residents and isn't meant to be a public park. But there isn't a fence around it. My rating posted above I gave because it looks like a nice neighborhood, I don't live here though, so you might want to ask a resident about the neighborhood. It lies near the border of Gwinnett and Barrow county.

It was even better than we had hoped. Alyssa and Daniel showed up, and the kids went wild. You can tell Alyssa really knows how to talk to and work with young kids, and Daniel showed them all sorts of fun ways to play with their art. When they rolled out, you could hardly even tell 14 kids had just been painting in my grass and by the street. My son said it was the best party he ever attended, and we will definitely look to making it a tradition!
