She was prompt in responding to my questions. The cake was ready on time and turned out exactly as I requested. The buttercream frosting was delicious! Just the right amount of sweetness, and was not that crazy stuff you get sometimes where your eyes seem to hurt it's so sweet! The cake was moist and decorated beautifully! My MIL and the family loved the cake. It was a wonderful surprise for her.

Namekagon Cone features Cedar Crest Ice Cream, and I got its Jumping Jersey Cow, peanut butter flavored ice cream blended with chocolate coated caramel mini cups and swirled with chocolate fudge. It was delicious! The clerk was patient with us, despite walking in as she was closing. We will be back!

You still have to use cash only -- no credit cards. Thankfully my husband on our most recent visit had some cash on hand. I'm also excited that my kids are getting old enough to get excited about visiting and picking out some select pieces for themselves. They also liked to watch the candy being made in front of them. Tremblay's is also great for food gifts to bring home. Hayward isn't Hayward without Tremblay's!

They did offer us for a total of $10.00 a wine sample which was cool and nice and a dessert. I did not wait for the dessert, because it took so long to get the food. Our group was the only ones in the restaurant. Hayward is full of great places to eat, and this restaurant has a far way to go. Hopefully they will get there fast.

The Hazy was no slouch. zi started my beery voyage w a McStukie's Scotch Ale. I then moved around to a Tequila Saison Chardonnay Blonde Oakys Oatmeal Stout & a 9-Toe Doppelbock before wrapping up with a 5oz pour of Hazy. I was so busy chatting up customers and Taryn I completely forgot to ask about how the beers got their names? I guess a job for my second visit..... I love the brick walled tap room, the spacious tables and the variety of merch. Free street parking is easy. I opted not to eat but the small menu looked to quench any palate and it was good offerings, not just a burger or side salad. It's no wonder The Angry Minnow has been around since 2004!! Both excellent examples of those styles. The biggest disappointment was that there was NO FOOD available despite a sign outside that said small plates. It may have been just that weekend but they really need something to balance the alcohol, even if it is just packaged pretzels or chip.
