This morning I went online to reorder a different monitor. I went to checkout entered the gift card number and it posted $6.51 instead of $36.82. I used their automated chat line who always wants to know the issue to direct you to the right person. It always give you a list of pre-made documentation. I asked again for a live agent. I received an agent. We communicated for 20 mins. I know this process to keep the chat from dropping. Muhammad was his name typed he hadn't heard from me. I said I was here. He typed are you there. I said yes then I received a system generated note that he had dropped. I've learned through many help-desk calls with other companies with staff that lack the knowledge to help drops the call. That's what happened here and many times before. That means you have to go through their automated process again. I did and asked for a phone call. The person I talked to knew immediately what happened with my return. For some ungodly reason the employee sent $33 back on the card and the remainder on a gift card but didn't inform me. She said it wouldn't allow her to put it back on the card. We (my family) are long term customers who have experienced the same old scenario for many years. They must think no one can figure out their games. It is a pattern. Sometimes, you can luck up on a wonderful knowledgeable customer focused employee but it is rare like the person who called me. This was my first transaction with Walmart in almost two years. I stopped doing business with them and Amazon. I thought I wasn't going to survive without them but I did.
