This store wins the award for having the most Kipling bags that I have ever seen at a Winners. There were three sling bags in a floral pattern, and black and blue colours. Insane! I don't own a sling bag. There were also backpacks in various sizes, and a casual Kipling tote in taupe. My willpower kicked in and I eventually tore myself away from the bag section. The shoe section was impressive. I tried on a lilac pair of Skechers street sneakers. They threw me back to platform sneakers and felt so comfortable on my feet. I walked around in them and didn't want to take them off. Yes, I bought them. They look different. Yet, they feel so good. I paid using a credit card. Although there were a few customers in line, it moved quickly. The person helping out with my transaction was great. I love this store. (353)

Make an overnight of it and do a yarn crawl! If you live closer to them than I do, they offer a Knitting Club which meets up at the shop every Wednesday afternoon from 4 - 6 p.m. This is such a good idea; knitting is such a tactile "sport" that you can touch and feel the yarn to make your best choice, then sit and knit it for a bit to get a feel for it. Us knitters just want to sit down and dig into a project especially once we have chosen the yarn! It would be so nice to have all day every day to sit and knit and create wonderful items by hand - this makes me a little envious of yarn shop owners! Sitting in a shop to knit with other knitters is very inspiring - you learn a lot watching them, and often want to try their projects as well. Knitters are a very helpful group. The owner - Linda - is very friendly, so don't be afraid to talk to her. You'll need to plan to spend some time here, along with your money :-) I specifically like her shop for the wonderfully array of unusual yarns she supplies. I got a gorgeous beaded turquoise yarn from them, and can hardly wait to knit it up!

I'm a gal who likes unique clothes and accessories, but I don't like to pay a lot of money. So it was no-brainer that during my vacation time in Prince Edward County, Ontario, I had to stop into Picton and check out the consignment store on Main Street, City Revival. Wow. The 50% rack on the outside was already welcoming. It had a cute charcoal jersey dress that I picked up right away to bring to the fitting room. After a few steps inside, I noticed a Prada bag, a Fendi clutch and what seemed like hundreds of gorgeous jewelry pieces - all that seemed to be, well, cheap! What a find! I came with three friends, (one of whom is male, and he bought the most, by the way!) , and we bought some awesome brand name pieces. My best find? A silk Coach scarf/neck tie that can be worn a few different ways. It cost $10.00, and by the way, today everything in the store was 20% off! (My total, including tax was $9.05) There's no way I could have found a deal like that in Toronto. This store, like all consignment, second-hand and vintage shops, needs a lot of time to peruse through the (probably) thousands of items that are on the dozens of racks, shelves and hooks all over the store. (But if you are a vintage shopper like I am, you already know this) They carry a variety of sizes and brands. A few luxury brands I noticed: Miu Miu, Prada, Fendi, Coach and Gucci. I also saw Michael Kors, Banana Republic, Lululemon and Michael Stars. It also had a pretty decent sized Men's department. There was certainly a lot of variety, but you'll need a good amount of time to find that needle in the haystack. As far as consignment shopping goes, it's a pretty good one. The ladies at the desk were super nice and it's mostly because of them that I will certainly come back.

They also have another huge section of the store dedicated for hobbies and collectibles (sport cards, trading cards, comics, boardgames, figurines, etc.) Back to books - they sell old books at a great, low price! I found old series from authors I love, and books from a decade ago that I thought I'd never find. This is really the place to be! Books are categorized from various genres and are kept neatly and in alphabetical order by author's last names. This place is a fantastical stop in an eclectic Bali collection of stuff. From furniture to art to,…read morewell, ,some of the stuff is hard to describe, there is a huge collection of stuff here to give your house or cottage a bit of a Bali feel. The owners also run a cast iron fabrication facility, Iron World, so there is a collection of cast iron fencing and other objects intermingled with the Bali items to make this place even more eclectic. My wife and I love stopping here just to look around, although we do usually wind up picking something up, there are no pushy salespeople and no pressure to buy, just helpful staff to answer questions.
