UPDATE: The salon has refused to issue me a refund until I remove my honest reviews. This blatantly violates Yelp's policies, and is likely illegal (still looking into this). More importantly, however, it shows you that you cannot trust the majority of the reviews for this business because who knows how many other consumers have removed negative reviews in order to receive a refund on the terrible service.
If you care at all about what your hair looks like, AVOID this salon. My hair looks like a 3 year old cut it and is 4 inches shorter than when I walked in (even though I requested one inch off), which leaves very little room to repair all of the damage that this salon did.
Both the stylist and owner, Edan himself, were the two rudest and least competent individuals I have ever encountered. Terrible cut, and even worse customer service.
This is hands-down the worst hair salon experience I have ever had. They gave me the exact opposite cut of what I very clearly asked for (I asked for a clean professional 1 inch cut with no layering in the back and framing around the face, and they took a good 2-3 inches off with choppy layering all around the back and no framing of the face, both sides look entirely different as well). When I told the stylist, Fana, that it was way too choppy, she didn't even apologize or bother to fix it and instead said the manager would take care of it. The manager was even nastier than she was, and got defensive and angry when I explained how much his stylist had butchered my hair and said I needed to trust him to fix it. Well who would trust a manager whose employee totally butchered their hair? He cut a bit more off the back but really did just about nothing to fix it. He offered a free haircut in a month but no rational person would return to such a terrible salon after such a terrible experience.
When I was sitting there another hour later trying to figure out what to do, the stylist asked "You still don't like it?" as if she had done nothing wrong, even after the manager admitted that she screwed up the cut. Edan himself did nothing to fix it and said he couldn't do anything to fix the front.
No refund given, and no response to an email I sent afterwards requesting one. Thus, I need to shell out another $100 or more to go elsewhere to have it fixed. read more
