I have been using Ed and Gene's King Tire for about 5 years. The one owner, I believe it's Gene is as nasty and mean as they come. The work was done ok so I went back and really dealt with the other owner Ed, who I met first time I went, is very nice and friendly. I have referred at least 6 people to them who had extensive work done and took both of my deceased parents vehicles to them for repair before sale. I had brakes done for 350.00 2 years ago and about a month ago the car started pulsating upon braking. I have put just under 8,ooo miles on them. I called there and Gene basically told me well that's your fault because you didn't drive it enough so nothing I can do. I had my car in the dealership for a recall and asked the Jeep service manager what would he do if he did the brakes and he said no way should they be bad after 8,00 miles, so I would honor them. Then I called 5 other places, most I have used and was told the same as dealer. I call Gene back and ask if he will make good on rotors and he shouts no, I said I asked all these people and they said with 8,000 miles u should make good. He says I didn't make them, so go back to them . Mind u he screamed this at me and hung up on me! This guy has been treating local people like crap for years , as I have heard stories about him and also not honoring his work. Literally just my family alone has spent 10,000.00 in 5 years and this is the way we are treated. I don't care if he thinks because he is a halfway decent mechanic, he can treat people this way, especially loyal customers. He is a rotten, miserable person and doesn't deserve to be in business the way he speaks, with utter annoyance and irritation, just if u call to make an appt. Several times he has treated me this way , so my son called thinking maybe it was a woman thing. Nope, he was terrible to him also. If your car needs repairing and someone recommends this place, don't go unless u want to be verbally abused, for no reason. read more
