Andreas was very helpful explaining and demonstrating the importance of having a source for filtered water. Ecowater also works with a financing company that offered a very fair price and plan. Since installing the system my plants are greener, skin clearer and softer, dogs have more energy, grocery list is smaller, food is better, coffee is better, and I stay hydrated. The drinking water system is hidden and simple. The house system is worth it if your home's water line permits it and it comes with a lifetime warranty. There are some requirements about fire sprinklers needing their own water supply, so not always an option. Will charge you to fix their broken under warranty equipment. tell you during install 100 for filters each year but then charge 150 every time they come out. 1 year post install and already leaks in equipment which of course charged for. Ecowater as a whole, which has many locations is great. Ecowater in Fresno, this specific location, is the absolute worst, I will never use them again, and I warn anyone against considering them visit your home. First, they installed my system so incorrectly that it caused numerous leaks in my basement in 2023 upon initial installation and I had to fight for months for help in resolution. Many of their techs are gruff and unhelpful and treat you like nothing. The head of the region had to get involved and get another Ecowater team (the one in Socal which is fantastic!) to fix what the Central California team did. Over the years, I've tried to use the Central California team, including most recently this past week, to do maintenance or install as I move, but they continue to be awful. They refuse to answer simple questions such as "when will my rep return from vacation?", they use non english words such as "zink" instead of "sink" and don't acknowledge it, it's very odd, and they become an incredible barrier and frustration to simple tasks and appointments. I went back to the SoCal team and luckily they are nice enough, and I think used to covering for the Central Cal team, that they do come up to my area thank goodness. She was talking to me. She said she was gonna take care but that's not the point point is people will be aware of this company. Do not purchase anything from this company. To Whom it May Concern, Prior to agreeing to purchase services from "Home Depot", and the third party " Eco Water of Central California" my wife and I were told in person we would have 3 days to try the water softener system and reverse osmosis (my wife has a medical condition known as "severe eczema", and needs to try things out to make sure they will not adversely affect her skin. I further texted the seller "Robirt Lajeen" on Saturday January 18th, asking for verification "is there a return policy if my wife hates it" to which he replied" There's a 3 day right to cancel". This led us to believe we had 3 days to try out water. If he had instead said "We have no refund policy, you have 3 days to cancel from the date of signing paper work, which is 1/18/2025", I would never have agreed to purchase this system. My wife always needs to try things out to make sure they will not adversely affect her. I believe this is classic "Bait and Switch", which is illegal in California. Nothing was properly installed in my home. The installer from "Eco Water of Central California (they have denied to provide me with the installer name, and or to see the installer paperwork when asked multiple times over the phone). The water softener System was placed without my knowledge or consent in my wives flower garden (this resulted in destruction of person property). In addition to this, the dirt is on a slant and is not even or stable. Installer did put down some sort of slab under the two devices, but due to the dirt not being level; the structure is unstable and could fall on my six year old step son. The installer informed me, that he did not have all the required parts for the install and the whole house water softener system would not work and should not be turned on. I pointed out where he installed the equipment was very problematic and he told me "It is the only place it can be installed". I have learned since then, this was a lie. When I asked why a "brand new" piece of equipment did not have all the parts needed for install, I was not given an answer. I was informed "you can ask for a technical to come out and finish it". The whole house softener has never worked or functioned. Nor does my family have any benefit from this so called "installation". The second piece of equipment was a reverse osmosis for safe drinking water, to which he put it under my kitchen sink. I found it was leaking water very shortly after it was "installed", and has been shut off. I believe if the leak were to continue the water would spill out from under my sink and go on my Kitchen tile, and my home could be damaged further. As of 1/28/2025. I have been asking for cancelation since 1/25/2025 (through voice mail and speaking to the company. I have been ignored and lied to by the owner of the company, one "Ken Steitz", and have been denied the company to come and remove their broken, faulty, and leaking equipment. Thankfully, since I bought this through home depot, I was able to get my refund. However, the worker who came to get there broken equipment out of my home left me with 2 leaks, and a plumber had to be called to fix this. I briefly spoke with the owner " Ken Steitz", who did not believe a word I said, and laughed at me over the phone. He clearly does not care at all about his business. Ecowater lied to me to get my business. This was NOT a professional initialization. This is an unethical company, and who ever read this should seriously consider if you want to be business with these people. read more

The office has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They will hound you to service the system, but will rarely call you back when you have a concern. A tech came out last week to service my system. Three days later a pipe cracked and I had water everywhere. Took me half the day to clean it all up. When the tech came out to diganois the problem, he said it was a coincednnece Seriously! They did not comp me or anything. The tech had an attiutde as if it was my fault. They are SO extrmely rude. I love my system. Soft water was a huge need for our family as we just purchased a new water heater and washer and want to extend the life of our investments with soft water. I'm taking out the time to write this in order to prevent someone else going through what we are. So here we go... I purchased an EcoWater ERR3700, whole house filtration, and paid appx. $8,500 (which included one RO system). One week later after installation, my family and I started to develop skin irritations (my skin looked like it had chemical burns). After further research and testing it turned out that the potassium chloride we opted for as the conditioning substrate was causing these issues. We decided to bypass the system and immediately our issues subsided. We contacted EcoWater and it took them weeks to send out a technician. The technician eventually came out and performed two tests: 1. Chlorine presence with the system on/off 2. Hardness test with the system on/off. With this information, he said the system was functioning properly and his managers used this as the basis for refusing my request for a refund. (They also suggested switching to sodium chloride but this wasn't feasible because the increased NaCl could lead to further issues with a septic tank because it kills microbial activity). Additionally, the RO system they installed leaks on a regular but sporadic basis. Ecowater has yet to send out a technician to resolve the issue. I'm rating a 1 star for horrible service and lack of value for the extreme cost. Save your money and go with something like Aquasana. It's half the cost and there are no contracts. Plus you have 90 days to try out the system. read more

Not sure from where to start , I did install a system from them couple of months ago , after the sales rep talked us about how great the system is , the warranty , the customer service. And how great the tech who work for them are . After 2 months , the system start acting up and we had a leak. A week after we called the tech should up and stated there is a leak and he put a "stop leak "and said if the system leaks again to call and we have to replace parts . A day after, it started leaking again , we called a week goes by before the tech shows up again , after he showed up said he couldn't fix the leak and he left . Then the customer reps calls and says we are billing you for the service . I told her the problem is still not taking care of and the work should be covered under the warranty that was promised, her response was I am here to tell about the bill . They will only assist you if you pay them for an onsite visit, there is zero help over the phone. Where say maybe 5 minutes of troubleshooting spent to allow me to fix my problem right now, they will only schedule a tech to come out for $150/hr for a 5 minute problem. Never will buy from them again, there's absolutely no benefit to buy from a company like this vs going out and buying your own system for 1/3rd the cost (that's the exact same thing) and paying a plumber a couple hundred to install it. I trusted Costco had my back but as I have learned ANY service Costco sells is marked up at least 30%, if not 50% to make the rebate work and then you get less a less than experience after the fact by a company that just doesn't offer support. A full rug pulling done on the expectation that anything from Costco is above and beyond. Never again will buy a service through Costco. All shams. read more

I chose this company because their service was offered by Costco. I have never been disappointed by businesses I have dealt with except through Costco but this is the exception! They are fine marketing and selling their products however if you encounter problems later, they are the worst! I bought a water softener system from them 3 years ago. I noticed a leak coming from the equipment recently. I called and was told to text them photos . I did. No responose. I called again, I was told I needed to send photos showing a larger area. I did, again no response. After a few days, I called again and was asked who I was dealing with. My mistake was I didn't write down her name but I explained I texted photos to the 916 number she gave me. She apologized and asked me to text the photos again which I did. This time, I got an acknowledgment from her saying "Larry" would get back to me. Waited for several days, nothing! I called asking to speak to him and a few hours later, someone called ( not Larry) saying they will send a plumber and the cost would be $300. So why did they take a month for them to tell me that??? Just had our water softener system installed a few weeks ago and its amazing! We invested in this system more so for our appliances. Our hard water had ruined our washing machine, refrigerator, dishwasher and pipes...but was pleasantly surprised on how much softer our clothes were after washing, our skin feels better after a shower, my hair feels softer, dishes cleaner, etc...Noah was our salesman and he was great at explaining everything! Now Dale, he did the installation and he went above and beyond! We had some plumbing issues he addressed that needed to be corrected before he could install. He was kind enough to draw out a picture & leave his number for the plumber, if the plumber had any questions. I got two estimates from two different plumbers and he answered both of their calls! We chose EcoWater because they were recommended at Costco, and for the first time a Costco product or service really let us down. The sales guy came a couple of times to give us an initial quote and demo, as well as to sign paperwork and meet with us about something else (I can't quite remember). Each time he was super late! When he'd call to say "I'm running late, just X minutes away" he was way off and our evening plans were ruined. Not cool. About a year later, I recently told a service tech that I'm not seeing great results with the hardness of water in our shower and mildew buildup (that the sales guy said would be alleviated by a water softener) he happily made some adjustments and said if we don't see better results to call back. When I called back I was told that service was not covered by our recent service fee and we'd need to pay more for an additional visit--also, that the mildew thing was not an expected or guaranteed result of the water softener system. read more

The overall time frame I have been dealing with my newly install water filtration system has been 6 months and I have received nothing but the run around. When you are sold on a whole home water filtration system for almost 20k you expect it would work as they promised! But that isn't the case at all. We purchased an ECO system 10 years ago to replace an existing system in our home. No problems, though they pressured us to pay for maintenance visits after the installer candidly said we shouldn't need them. OK. We experienced a power surge August 2018 and didn't realize for sever months it had impacted the water system. I called, the tech came out, assessed the issue and said someone would call to set up an appointment. Fast forward 5 months, no call, email, carrier pigeon, etc. In July, I called and explained the situation, asking for an appointment and explanation of what needed replacing. I was told the person in charge of that was out for the day, but would get back to me. 2 months later, I'm still waiting. I am now having a different system installed. We have used their service for 24 years and there have been lots of trouble for the recent years. It seems the qualities of the technicians are getting worse. This year the techs have been called out for 3 times after the regular maintenance and we have been charged for more than five hundred dollars so far, which they said it's already a discount. They only offer 30 day guarantee after they have done the jobs, but the problem always comes out over the 30 day period and right after the regular maintenance. It seems like the maintenance is useless and wasting money. If they can hire more capable people, I don't think we will have this kind of trouble. read more

My mother purchased a water softener through this company based on Costco's reputation. Unfortunately their service is subpar. They showed up to perform service on their product and did not have the proper equipment to test the issue they were called out for. They had to return a second time and charged a second fee even though it was their mistake for coming unprepared. They quoted $600+ in labor fees to repair a part that was under warranty. They also left a mess after completing the service. The softener is over $6500 and will now be the most expensive waste of space due to this company's foul practices.
