My stay was great. The staff lady that checked me was friendly. The grounds were clean. This location is centrally located to plenty of restaurants gas stations and grocery stores within walking distance. My room was clean and spacious (perfect). I just could not get comfortable on the bed (which kept me up for awhile). The continental breakfast could've used a little bigger selection. No biggie. All and all I was pleased with my stay there. I would recommend this Econo Lodge location. read more

I stayed there because it was the only hotel within 100 miles that had an available room for under $150. I would do it again under the same circumstances . I have stayed in worse places, but not by choice. The pillow had a funny lump in it which caused me to look under the pillow case where I saw blood on the pillow. I went out to the car and got my own pillow. I tried to cool down the room a bit, but there was no setting that didn't alternate between too hot and too cold as the compressor kicked on and out. I finally settled on fan only, until the smell coming out of the unit made me I'll, and I had to shut it all down. When I was checking in, the guy behind me with a prepaid room was told that the might not have a room for him because they had 2 more reserved rooms than actual rooms. read more

Please don't come here. I'm not a snob by any means. As long as I have a clean bed to sleep in I won't complain but this place was terrible. Lady at the front desk was a sweetheart but that room was HORRENDOUS. There was pee all over the toilet seat, cigarette burns on the comforter, there was a needle on the dresser, grease all over the walls and it obviously had not been swept. My family and I (two children 4 & 10,who would sleep with us) are leaving south Florida due to hurricane Irma and we stopped here after being on the road since 8am. The hotels.com app had a king bed listed for $68 per night but when I arrived the woman at the front desk quoted me $85+ tax. When I showed her the hotels.com app I was told " you should just book through hotels.com then and that doesn't include our charge for children $10 each". On the website it clearly says " CHILDREN (18 YEARS AND YOUNGER) STAY FREE WHEN OCCUPYING THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN'S ROOM,USING EXISITING BEDDING". It's unfortunate and disgusting that during a time of concern these people would try to make up charges and take advantage of people who are simply trying to stay out of harms way. Stopped on the way from MD to FL and we chose Econo Lodge because they are listed within the AAA book and offer a military discount. The $66.00 price, including tax, was OK with us. Two twin beds were OK for the four of use. Wireless network is unsecure and easy to use. The down side is the noise that heater makes and the tub will not drain. read more

This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever been in my life. Upon entering it smelled so bad I backed out. Eventually I thought ok I can clean the room and make it smell better. Nobody should have to do this. I really should have listened to my inner voice and left. So I got the smell out. That was easy part. It was made even by the fact that the air conditioner was broken and I had to buy 2 fans to keep it below 80 in the room. Horrible just horrible. We spoke to hotels.com and they informed us they could not do a refund. The next day my husband had to go to work. He jumped in the shower and the water pressure was so hard it felt like it would rip your skin off. The water temperature was set so hot that if you set it any higher then a crap open you got burned. Ok so I will just jump in a tub being I have a disease that makes any pain 10 time worse. Only way to take a bath was to place a cloth of the drain to slow down the draining. Ok we could deal with that for a while. Again should have listened to that voice. And took a loss on the money. Day 3 is where it really goes South. My daughter wakes up covered in welts. I have her shower and give her some medicine thinking maybe she was allergic to the detergent used on the bedding. My husband an I check for bugs and don't see any. Her baby brother was with her in the bed as they promised us queen size and these were definitely far from queen. He awoke with nothing on his body. The next day her brother awoke with the same welts much worse than her. We choose to go to the Dr. right away. They diagnosed the bites as bed bugs. Omg I was so nauseous at this point. We get back to the hotel and I rip all the bedding off. I did some reading on how to spot bedbugs. Well damn I certainly found them. Oh my word it was disgusting. I decided that I should definitely check our bed sure enough I found them there as well. We caught the bugs on tape and my daughter also videoed the nasty bugs. We bring them to the front desk and ask for a full refund. We were denied and offered another room on the other side of the building. We go over and look and dead bugs all over the room. It was also an adjoining room and we could hear heat all the noice from the next room. We met the owner on the way back to the office. My husband again tells him there is no way were are staying in that room. They talk for a few minutes and the guy insists that the bugs crawl through the walls and enter while they clean the room. My husband again asked for our money back. The man states he would give us 75 off our stay. I am finally at my breaking point. I begin to yell at him as he tells my husband I would hate to throw you out. Throw us out for finding bugs and my kids being eaten alive ohhhh no that is not happening. I am determined to get our money back and leave the hotel. I yelled out that I would be on the phone with the health department and CDC before he even gets back to the office. He motions to husband to come with him. He explains he will give a partial refund. He would not give our money back for the nights we stayed. Ok I will take that. We asked about them covering the bills for my kids and the medications they needed to feel better. We were denied. My insurance should not have to give it because of your bedbugs. Your hotel is trash and so are the owners. You need a class on humanity and cleaning. I hope at some point you learn how to handle yourself and business. Your snotty wife laughing through this process did not make it any better. Shame on you. read more

Me, my husband and two kids stopped at econo lodge in SC on our way back to New York. The rate with our AAA membership was $ 66. Compared to other hotels in area it was the best price. Guess we got what we paid for, the room was clean but had a very musty smell and was rundown. Think next time will spend the extra 40 bucks at a better place to lodge. read more

Too expensive for what you get. Our room was supposed to be non-smoking and we walked in to a strong cigarette smell. There is also a railroad nearby and every once in a while you can here a train. The breakfast room only has 4 tables for 34 rooms. Please if you can find someplace else, just trying to help you have a better stay. read more

My husband, my 2 and 5yr old and I stopped here Sept 12th 2017 after an extremely long day of traveling. We were on our way back to Florida after evacuating because of Hurricane Irma. Traffic on I95 was stop and go and we had been in that kind of traffic for at least 4 hours. We were all exhausted. The other hotels on this exit were busy because a lot of other evacuees were doing the same thing as us. The room was over priced. It smelled damp and just bad, I coughed as soon as I walked in. It was like it had been closed up for months. The AC had been off so it was hot and humid. The comforters were stained , we found hair on the sheets and in the refrigerator. The room was outdated and dark. The toilet was loose and moved. The sink leaked underneath and there was no filter in the air conditioner. Honestly, if we weren't so exhausted, we wouldn't have stayed. I spoke to the manager today and he basically didn't do a thing but say he would check the room. That's unacceptable! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone! read more
