Rooms have carpet that felt wet. Towles were gray,but no stains. So in overall if you must stay here it is ok. Also this hotel would benefit to have EV chargers on site because there aren't many options near by.... Plus if they'd serv food even just bar food,quick bites and simple drinks that would have been so great because there aren't many places to eat in the area and to all the places you must drive. If you are new to the area and looking for a place to stay nearby, this Hampton Inn location is an excellent decision. When I told my son we'd grab a place to stay 2minutes from the base the evening before he was set to report back at 6a, he wasn't overly thrilled. I assured him it looked ok from my research. As soon as he realized it was next door to the Infantry Museum he knew it was ok. The staff were very friendly. We slept well at night. The hotel has a pool and serves a hot breakfast in the morning. They have a small military discount and while I haven't stayed at anything on the base I can confidently say this is a safe and great place to stay if you're looking to be nearby. If you're traveling as a family, the pool and brekke options may be especially nice. Had I known there was a pool sooner, I think we would have spent a bit of time out there. Perfect for summer stays! They had cookies out at night and I spotted grab and go style lunch/snack packs during the day, in addition to coffee/tea/hot cocoa out 24/7. They have small refrigerators in the room (no freezer) we did root beer floats for dessert but ended up needing to toss our ice-cream as we wouldn't be able to freeze it. Plenty of safe, lit parking in large lot out front. I mention this as we had two cars (a rental and his car we'd have transported to Columbus) full of my sons belongings and I really wanted to ensure that his items were safe overnight. Exceptional waffle maker at the breakfast buffet! Made the most perfectly crisp waffle :) Clean, comfy and caring. You're in good hands here.

Is the absolute worst motel I've ever seen in my life. I would never ever again spend even $20 per night in a place like this.

A lot of my coworkers came here as well. There were a few tables left when we came and we were seated in the same room where all of the food. The staff here were pretty friendly and nice. They came by our table every so often to check on us and if we needed any other drink refilled. I don't remember every single food item there, but it ranged from mac and cheese to calamari to fried chicken. I thought the food was not bad and for under $10 per person for lunch, I'd say it's a good deal.

It smelt like a wet dog that just came from outside in the rain that hasn't had a bath in a few weeks. My girlfriend was about to go to the bathroom and noticed that the toilet was leaking, there was a puddle of water under the toilet. So we left that room and I went to the front desk and asked for another room, which we were glad that they gave us another room. The second room was room 103, the problem started when we were going to bed. My girlfriends son dropped his bear on the floor by the beds headboard, he went to pick it up and said "Momma, there is trash behind the bed." His mom went to look behind the bed on the floor with the flashlight on her phone and saw a dirty pair of women's underwear and a beer bottle cap behind the bed. The floors were also not vacuumed, when we walked on the floor in socks or bare feet, our feet and socks were black afterwards. Things wrong with room 234: 1. Room smelt like a nasty wet dog. 2. Toilet was leaking w/puddle of water under toilet. Things wrong with room 103: 1. Room was not clean. 2. Dirty panties under the second bed. 3. The vent in the bathroom was dusty. 4. No ventilation in room, so all metal items were rusty. 5. Dirt and scuff marks on walls. 6. Blankets on beds had cigarette stains, room was supposed to be non smoking. 7. Looked like feces and/or dirt was on lamp shades. 8. Floor was dirty, not vacuumed or steam cleaned. I do not recommend this no tell motel anyone unless you want a one night stand, obviously someone did with a dirty pair of panties under the bed. The breakfast didn't look good either, the gallon of milk was also spoiled. This facility needs to be inspected, they also have a BBB sticker on the front door, they don't deserve to have that sticker. A 2 start hotel, meh, they need to be a -2 star hotel. I am highly disappointed with that hotel and the hotel staff, especially the manager.
