He then placed me on a FaceTime call with his supervisor, who also agreed that a refund was warranted and advised me to contact Expedia to initiate the process, as well as the general manager, Michael Davidson. The following day, I contacted Expedia to initiate the refund. I also spoke with the general manager, Michael Davidson. Mr. Davidson refused to authorize the refund, was extremely rude, and claimed that a pest control professional had evaluated the room and determined the insect was not a bed bug. When I informed him that I intended to escalate the matter, he refused to cooperate. He asked me, " Who are you going to report me to???" I appreciate that "healthier" options include turkey sausage and (pre-made) egg-white omelets. Note, my favorite breakfast item though was the "breadless" quiche. The staff member responsible for managing the breakfast was pleasant as well. I enjoyed the exercise room and am always happy to see when rooms have recyclable bins. Even though we ran into a bit of an issue, management made it right, which was very appreciative and a sign of great customer service. The KS bed was comfortable and not super high like most hotels. We appreciate the lower height. The room has an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, safe and mini fridge. I like the efficient storage space for these items. The room and bedding was clean, except I would say they could do a better job on the bathroom floor. The water was hot and they provide everything you need: body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and lotion (all Dove products). The parking lot is large and clean. They provide a nice, mowed down grassy area to walk your dog. Not all people are considerate enough to pick up their own dog's poop, but it wasn't awful. The breakfast was basic, but good. We had an issue getting our $50 pet deposit refunded when checking out. The person at the desk said it is a fee not a deposit. That is not what we read on the website nor what the person at the desk said when we checked in. So, instead of a long back and forth, we left. I called Guest Services from the car, explained the situation and yes, the $50 deposit is refundable. Just be aware of that. Otherwise, we would stay here again.

Going into my room, I took notice of how quiet the hallways are, how clean the carpet is, and how spotless & prompt the elevator is. I took the elevator a number of times and didn't have to wait more than 2 seconds for every use. In an almost-filled capacity, it was as if I was the sole occupant. The rooms are very modern and spotless (I booked a connecting suite). Bathrooms are simply - yet beautifully designed. The king-sized bed is firm, very wide, and just plain comforting. You are also given firm and soft pillows. I am a local resident but need temporary shelter due to home remodeling. I have been to other local hotels as a getaway from the kids, but this location, by far, is the best that I have occupied. Good breakfast. Fast internet speed. Very clean. Warm welcome.
