You can see their description online at https://www.redlion.com/m/concordia. We arrived about 8:30pm on a Thursday. There were few cars in the lot. We thought we might like it because both buildings are on one floor. The price was ok ($65 AARP 2 queen beds - + $9 taxes). The rooms have been refurbished. We didn't smell smoke in the hall or the room. Everything worked and the room was large and clean. It's not top-of-the-line or brand new, but it is certainly adequate and comfortable. Breakfast served until 9am. Three tables. Scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, 2 cereals, milk, packaged oatmeal, Activa yogurt, juices, coffee. Small, but clean and breakfast was filling. We are traveling from Indiana to Oregon this vacation. As we left the room, we agreed that if every motel room we stayed overnight in along the way was as nice as this one, we would be well satisfied.

Two miles past this hideous place and I'm just getting rid of the heebie-jeebies. We arrived yesterday afternoon. It was 92 degrees outside and probably 89 inside the room. The over-worked housekeeper was vacuuming as quickly as she could under such brutal conditions: she was forced to clean without the AC on, "to save money." Small wonder she missed the bugs. This place features a hot tub and outdoor pool. I walked into the hot tub room and it was absolutely stifling. I glanced into the tub and was horrified to see the water was completely murky and obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long time. No way was I getting into THAT fetid mess. Hubby, on the other hand, wanted to give the pool a try. He came back to the room not 5 minutes later to say he was taking a shower. The pool was no better than the hot tub: Murky, smelly and slimy on the bottom. The owner is a self-important and delusional old man who fancies himself to be a song writer, author and yes, presidential candidate! He passed out laminated business cards with his political platform typed on the back. I guess a President doesn't have to be much of a stickler for details; there were multiple misspelled words. But hey, he managed to copy and paste the Presidential seal onto the card. I guess that makes him legit. After a fitful night, hubs decided to check out the breakfast bar. Located in the hotel lobby, it consisted of paper plate under a glass dome with crumbs of muffins past. A small fridge contained a bottom full of milk in a plastic jug, and a half-full Orange juice container. Cereal, bread, bagels and muffins were portioned into zip-loc bags. Well, not even real zip-loc bags: that'd be too spendy! 5 forlorn looking people spooned cereal from styrofoam bowls and plastic spoons while our esteemed Presidential Candidate/author/song-writer stared them down from his easy chair conspicuously placed for optimal viewing. I suppose as to assure no miscreant might dare to eat more than his one Wal-Mart zipper bag of Tasty-O's. (Cheerios are too expensive.) This hotel, er, hovel is just a single tick above sleeping in one's car. Only because now I know how to defeat ISIS. eliminate the IRS, repeal ObamaCare....... No wonder the bugs hide behind the furniture.
