The reception desk is open during certain hours so be sure to check ahead of time of when you'll be arriving at their property. The staff will inform you of a key code that you'll need prior to entering the building, so be sure you have that as well, or you'll have a confusing time trying to contact them on their service line (unless of course, you have a working mobile with you). Once inside, if the staff is there to greet you, you can head up to one of their super limited rooms, and unwind. (As with many accommodations in certain parts of the country, it's rather common to not have an elevator, so be prepared to be able to carry your luggage up and down the stairs if needed). The rooms are pretty spacious, and each decorated with a theme. I had the "Picasso" themed room, with lots of bold reds and cubist decor adorning the room. It was furnished with a small tv, a hot water carafe, a tv, and I believe free wifi. In the morning, you can come downstairs to the lounge/lobby area where the staff will serve you breakfast (lovely croissants, sliced baguette, bread, jams, butter, fruit, yogurt, coffee and juice) whilst sitting and looking out to the quiet street waking up to the business hours. The b&b is really well located, and everything within the center is pretty well accessible from here on foot. There's tons of little shops and eateries around the area, so you'll be sure to have your pick of cuisine of whatever you might be craving. If you happen to be there over the weekend, be sure to ask about the Sunday Farmers Market by the river. AMAZING produce and foods alike, you can't miss out!! Situé rue Bouffart, à quelques centaines de mètres du quartier piétonnier, il n'existe pas d'autres chambres d'hôtes en plein centre de bordeaux. L'acceuil y est très chaleureux dans cette ancienne galerie d'art.

The new owners (as of Jan 1, 2026) are lovely and informed me that this house is typical of Bourgeoisie families at the time it was built. The couple has lived all over France, but the woman is a native of Bordeaux. My communication on booking.com and in person was sufficient in English. Several bedrooms are available, and mine had balconies with views of the train station. The breakfast is 6:30-9:30am and is prepared by the hosts in a typical French style: cheese, bread, croissant, jam/butter toppings, orange juice, coffee or tea, yogurt, etc. I found this Bed & Breakfast clean and accommodating.

He welcomed my husband and I with open arms and a bottle of Cognac. Before we settled into our room he talked with us and we got to know each other for a few minutes. He also gave us a map of the city and pointed out some good restaurants, places we needed to see, and stores we needed to shop in. He was extremely helpful and we were grateful for all the pointers because being in a foreign country can be a little confusing, so the fact that he takes time to "show you around" without actually going with you was awesome. We never went outside to enjoy breakfast with everyone else but Sebastian was so kind, he actually arranged breakfast for my husband and I so we could have breakfast in bed. I would totally recommend this hotel to everyone and anyone who reads this review. Oh, and did I mention it was a great walking distance to pretty much everything? Huge plus.
