Kevin, from Skelton, arrived on time and performed his diagnostics. I expected it to be bad and I wasn't disappointed (pun intended). After running his tests, we obviously needed a new air handler. We "sealed the deal " on Friday to install a new attic unit air handler with heating coil backup, and the new unit was installed on Tuesday. The two installers were on time and I wouldn't have known they were there except for an occasional thump in the attic. There was no trace left of their work as they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. Use this company!! 10 year parts with two years labor warranty. Great job Skelton!

He quoted $10,000 and initially I did not think we could afford to do the work but I contacted our insurance and found the damage was covered. When I went back to Skeltons I was told they did not have enough help to do the work and I needed to go to another company. Being dumped after being a customer for 3 years was not good business practice. We always paid in full and had good relations with the staff and techs so no problems. So I am out $89 for nothing. We went with Sleeping Giant to do the work. I would not recommend Skeltons!

Kevin came out and looked at everything, explained what was needed. He was the only one that guaranteed his solution would work. After sending me the quote and agreeing to the package and product type I wanted, we moved forward with the a new unit. They did all the worked and they did it right. The installers were very nice and professional and did not mess up the house in any way. It was after the installation that I was really glad i went with them. The unit was not solving the problem we wanted originally which was even cooling. At first I thought we had just wasted our money...same problem, but with a new unit. Kevin called me and sent his installers back out and reviewed the problem. After several items were check, they determined that I did need a larger unit and they installed it without an charge to me. After that everything went great and the home is cooling wonderfully. We went from a unit that ran all the time and didn't cool well to one that runs in much shorter cycles and cools very well. i am confident if i had gone with anyone else, the problem would not have been solved and I would have been out more money for a larger unit. Every company quoted the same type and size unit, but Kevin was the only one that told me if it didn't work, they would stay here until it did....and they actually came through on their word. I was referred to the company from someone else and I look forward to referring others to them

Bought a Generac whole home generator from Lowe's and Lowe's had mainline as the installers. My…read moregenerator developed a problem the end of July. Michael came out 8/3/15, said I need a part, which would be in within a week and a half. After many calls, they showed up 1 month later. They left, the generator did not do the weekly diagnostic. I called back the day after labor day, was told "oh it needs another part, guess we should have told you". I continued to call, Michael wouldn't return my voice mails. They came back in another month (3 months after my first call) and still couldn't fix it. I called Generac and found our they are NOT approved by Generac to work on the generator. Something Lowe's and Mainline should have been honest enough to tell me when I was considering buying it. I got a Generac certified service technician to come out and found out Mainline had damaged the generator when they were poking around in it. They left the generator in pieces, they damaged the muffler and damaged other parts, which the certified technician took 45 minutes to repair. They charged me $7,000 for installation and don't have a clue what they are doing. Generac has contract with Home Depot only. The lowe's sales person would not answer my e-mails. SO for 4 months I was making payments to Lowe's for a broken generator, much of the damage was caused by Mainline. Stay away from them

For months, Chad promised to make it right, I even offered to split the cost and nothing has been done months later. The crew didn't clean up nail on the driveway or on the roof. Every rain, we have more roofing nails in the driveway. We have found well over 100 roofing nails in our driveway or on the street in front of our house. I found 4 just this week. Chad promised several times to "send the guys back over with a big magnet" but he has yet to follow through. They left building materials at our house that we were left to clean up. The crew pulled up the edge flaps of our gutter guards when installing the roofing and left them detached. As part of the project, they were repairing sheetrock. The mud work was so bad, I ended up redoing it myself.

After researching the part online, I found the replacement cartridge available for less than $75. It appears to be a 30-minute job. I asked the supervisor for a breakdown of the cost between labor and material. He said that they don't give a breakdown. They appear to be hiding their labor cost, which seems to be very high. I wouldn't let the technician do the job and pay an $80 fee for the visit.

The technician came out, claimed we needed to replace two different parts (one being the pressure regulator) that were roughly $1,000 each, gave us a quote for multiple options of replacing the entire unit ranging from $4K to 8k (for a tankless heater instead), and then left without restoring the hot water. The next day I had to pay a plumber from another company to come out, and he cleaned the components (the true cause of the pilot light not staying lit), restored the hot water in minutes, and DID NOT insist that I had to replace the pressure regulator first. Brown Heating is NOT family owned as some early reviews suggest and they will gouge you. A quick internet search revealed that the quote they gave me included a 250% mark-up on the price of a new unit (which did not include the price of installation... another $3,300). The office manager just shrugged and called this "set pricing." Bottom line: they left without resolving the problem and only offered me solutions that cost thousands of dollars. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

He stepped back out to his van to coordinate with Laura on pricing, and within minutes had clear, straightforward options with numbers for me on how we could approach the problems. The pricing was very reasonable, and they even offered bundling discounts, which made it an incredible value! (Especially for the level of professionalism and quality service they provide.) It is rare to find a company where you genuinely feel comfortable having someone in your home, but that's exactly how I felt with Pierce. From the moment you meet him, you know you can trust him -- supervised or unsupervised -- to do the job correctly and with integrity. Going forward, I will absolutely be requesting Pierce Winkler as our on-site plumber every time. If you need plumbing inspection, repair, installation, or replacement at a fair price and want a team that truly values professionalism and customer service, I highly recommend Mr. Drippy Plumbing.
