I came here for the first time with my wife and son. I had been here before a few times when I was…read moresingle to kayak in the lagoon. This time we went for a hike. It was a nice and chill hike. Very easy, flat for the most part. The only uphill hike is the on the trail to reach El Morrillo, which are two bunkers left over from WW2. They overlook the ocean and we're used to spot German U-boats. It was pretty cool, and the view is even cooler. The Reserve has beach access. I believe you can get in so bring a bathing suit if you plan on taking a dip. The same trails for hiking are used for bike riding, so be aware for bikers. Also, if you are riding a bike, be mindful of hikers. The Reserve has a fishing platform. They don't rent fishing equipment. You have to bring your own. We saw a guy catch a tilapia. The lagoon is great for birdwatching so bring those binoculars. Overall, this is a perfect spot for a family outing and also a date (of your date enjoys the outdoors). Note: the address and pin on this page are incorrect. The address says Bayamón,PR instead of Humacao,PR. The pin has it on Just off PR-3. That is wrong. It is right on PR-3. You will see the entrance on the right. I made the edit, hopefully the update will be up soon. This spot is worth visiting.

I hadn't hiked for a while and our 4 year old had never been on a hike. It was a lovely experience. He loved it. We spotted turtles, lizards, fish, birds, and a hermit crab. The Reserve is an excellent place to bring kids. Very family friendly. I hope to come back soon to try the kayaking and to fish. For fishing, you have to bring your own equipment. They also rent bikes. That would also be fun. They don't have food or drinks here, at least not that I noticed. Better bring your own. They have some picnic tables. Also, the Reserve is not too far from food options. You will find several places to eat nearby on the PR-3, such as the Malecón de Naguabo, which has good seafood places.

We had Adrian and Giovanni for the tours and just had a blast! They really treat you well and accommodate the tours to your style. It's like your just hanging out with some old friends. Your not just doing these awesome adventures - we also learned about the Puerto Rican culture, ancestry history, and they gave great restaurant recommendations. We rented a car but some other people on our tour group were picked up by Verdeazul for the adventures. Adrian even helped us get connected to a vet when we found a sato (Puerto Rican slang for a street mutt)! We have the most memorable memories from this trip thanks to the guys at Verdeazul! We strongly suggest booking something through them and would recommend it to all our friends and family. They take all the photos for you and email them to you so you don't have to worry about trying to capture the moment and enjoy it at the same time. Not to be missed!

We decided to book a kayaking tour, but I wish we would have paddle boarded but kiddos didn't want. Anyway, as I mentioned the owner was awesome when we arrived. Brian our guide on the tour was super laidback. Was trying to find things to point out during our tour and wasn't invasive at all. Allowed us space to enjoy the beautiful scenery as a family. We stopped for a bit at a swing and the kids had a blast. Some dude told confronted Brian about some permit, which brian told me later they of course had, but Brian played it cool and let the man say his piece and he went on his way. Really a memorable experience. Amazing views of cliffs on the way back. Thanks to Scott and Brian for the experience. We will see y'all next time for sure

She said too bad we are full call the agency for a refund. We did not take a 1.5 hour uber just to be brushed she could have at least see if the other tours can help us out as it was already chaotic. They waited for people to all come in and then rushed us out. Once on the water the tour guides were really cool and helpful but sadly we didn't really see the bio illumination much. One they admitted to drop the anchor in the wrong spot and 2 it was a full moon so we needed to put a tarp over us to get as dark as possible and even then you don't see much. You're literally kayaking blind until you get to open waters get covered to not see much and go back in the dark again. We tried to make the best out of it but the lady in the front just ruined the vibe given our group was split.
