Everything is well organized and if you can't find what you're looking for here, then you probably shouldn't be playing hockey. Ever piece of equipment is organized by type, size, color, etc. The have walls of gloves and shoulder pads, plenty of helmet and pants options. The skate selection is probably their weakest point. They have plenty of skates to choose from, but not a whole lot of variety. If you're into high end CCM/Baurer then you should be able to find what you're looking for easily. Although a bit on the expensive side for my taste, the stick selection has a lot of depth. Any brand, style or flex you can think of, they have. If you're not a player or coach and just a fan, no worries. Total Hockey has lots of apparel for both men and woman and the kids. Videos, games, video games even are on hand. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable so if you're new to the game or just aren't quite sure what size hockey pants or skates are right for you, they will help you out.

Love you, Gunzo's…read more This has been my regular sharpening spot since I moved to Chicago. There's enough free street parking around that I'm usually right out front, and at worst like a block away. Bought a pair of skates here two summers ago. When you do this, they slap a Gunzo's sticker on the bottom and you get $2 off sharpenings. Playing on multiple teams year round, this adds up fast! All employees I've worked with are helpful and knowledgeable. If they don't have stuff at this location, it usually only takes a few days for them to get it from one of the others and they'll hold it for you. All told - hands down the best and most convenient hockey option if you live in the city.
