This review is for the state of Delaware as we actually drove through the state during our recent roadtrip along the east coast from DC to Rhode Island. I'd call this a drive by check in since we passed by some cities along the way! Home of Joe Biden! read more

Dr He is a professional. He provides fast efficient services and does not try to sell you things you do not need. He took great care of my family members who loved his caring and gentle service. read more

It's a chop shop. Plain and simple the " hygienist" barely spoke English, I love to know where they went to school, we have been to many dentists over the years. I've never seen hygienists like this, and that saying something. Extremely painful for basic cleaning. They didn't even have a dental sink. Stay far away. read more

I got Invisalign through Dr. He's office and have had great results! He is a very patient care oriented and won't push you to have procedures/treatments done if you don't need them. read more

I have got two implants now, both done at Eco Dental. Both went as smoothly as possible. The work was done very professionally. I also was given some discounts on the second implant when my insurance wouldn't pay the same rate as for my last implant. Dr. He is very skilled the aesthetics are great. He and the staff are very professional and helpful. I would highly recommend him. read more

Language barrier, prices change depending on your sex, race or insurance. Very rough when inside your mouth. Front desk very snooty they tell their stories of what a great dentist he is to offset the ridiculous amount of negative reviews. We don't want you to make meaningless apologies and excuses for eco dental, we want actions. Many people go to him because he takes adult Medicaid. I'm here to tell you. To take your time look for another place. You'll thank me later. And won't end up being another bad reviewer. read more

They have always been good with scheduling emergencies. Today I broke a tooth I'm in pain and o get a text when I called that the office is closed all week we will call you tomorrow to schedule. I asked what to do it may be infected and no response. read more

Do NOT go here. The only reason I go to this practice is that I have Medicaid and limited choices. I went to a dental appointment today for just a simple cleaning and left out with my gums and mouth bleeding. Dr. He was very careless with his cleaning and almost had me on the verge of tears with how forceful he was with scraping and cleaning. My mouth tasted like blood after my appointment and hurt all day. Steer clear of this place if you can. read more

My story might be extreme, but up close and personal. I know Dr. Harry He more than 10 years ago back in California. I was a patient at a dental clinic he practiced after his USC study. I also learned that before coming to the U.S., he had graduated from a prestigious dental school in China followed by two years of dental clinical practice. I never had a better dental experience before Dr. He and after Dr. He. Therefore I was willing to travel all the way to Newark, Delaware to have Dr. He work on my dental implant and extraction of a decayed wisdom tooth. Because not only I trusted no one else, also I believed that his crafts have been perfected by additional schoolings ( that I have lost count) and practice over the years. He went on to obtain his periodontist license, and specialized in extraction and dental implants. Dr. He is in his prime time of the profession, although he looks jealously young. I traveled twice to Delaware for the last 7 months. As I expected, Dr. He did the dental works effortlessly and flawlessly. I felt little pain and no need for pain medication, and the recovery was speedy - the very next day, I was enjoying Delaware free tax shopping at Christiana Mall. I could have got one locally, but I see these trips as my dental vacations, totally worth. Now at the age of 60 +, I have a peace of mind knowing my teeth should be good for years to come. I don't expect to have a bad toothache and to be told that I have to pull it out at the age of 85 while my heart is weak and my wallet is thin. I envy those who live in the areas. Dental work is up close and personal. It is lucky that you know a good dentist, it is even luckier that you know one in your areas. Dr. Harry He is a local asset for Delaware. read more

Eco Dental - Periodontists Near Me - Newark, Delaware

Dr He was so rough during my cleaning that I was screaming and almost coming out of the chair. He couldn't understand me so he didn't answer any questions. Besides that, they didn't cover me with a bib and didn't have spitting sinks to spit into by the chair. You have to get out of the chair and spit into regular sink. The man who came in to do the polishing was very nice and professional except I had to wait till the very end to get up and spit so I swallowed a lot of polish. Also, I put yes next to mitral valve prolapse which you're supposed to medicate for and he never even asked if I took the medicine for my heart. He could have killed me although the chance of that is very very slim. NEVER GOING BACK read more

I was in that office and they treated me super well, I had a severe toothache and before my procedure they did X-rays, then the Doctor explained what they were going to do to me before they cleaned my teeth, the guy who polished my teeth. he did very soft and was very professional the Dr. and he showed interest in my problem I love this place and I am going to take my whole family the doctor pulled my tooth out and I did not feel anything he has his hands like an angel too all the staff made me feel very important. read more

On Nov. 16, 2019 I was scheduled for a deep scaling and cleaning of my top & bottom right side of my mouth. At ECO Dental in Newark, DE. Dr. Harry Y, He DDS Periodontist, @ 1:00 pm. When Dr. He began the treatment I had to ask him for protection (apron). Before he started, I ask him to explain what he was about to do. He gave me two needles straight into my gums which was VERY PAINFUL. He left the room and returned once the Novocain began to work. He mentioned several times about extracting my teeth which I wasn't there for. I asked to speak with one of his assistants to explain what he was about to do because of his thick accent. I thought maybe I didn't understand him. She explained about the deep scaling cleaning, in which I had done before a few years ago. Dr. He gave me another injection of Novocain before he started. He asked the assistant to turn on the suction, in which he never used during my treatment. He began cleaning never using the ultrasonic scaler, he did use the regular instrument that's for general cleaning. I laid there with mouth full of blood because he didn't use the suction devise, he instructed me to get up and rinse my mouth in the sink several times, after I mumbled to him that I had to spit. There was so much blood in my mouth, including blood clots. I sat back in the chair after several minutes no one came back in. I called the nurse or assistant to see what was going on. She informed me he was done and for me to remove the chain and neck apron!! He never polished my teeth. Again, I had this done before. I know for a fact that several steps weren't taken. They scheduled me for another appointment which I canceled. read more

Have a long review on Google where it was needed more as his reviews there were mostly from colleagues and HIMSELF. Lord. You would think he's a doctor that cares being he's the only one who accepts the once yearly cleaning for adults on Medicaid. Well I wanted him to tell me my options for full mouth reconstruction since I have at least 20k set aside for my teeth from an inheritance my mother told me to fix my teeth with. Well, I guess he assumed I was broke and wouldn't give me any print out, just said 2 implants would be free despite not knowing the price of 1. He stopped my cleaning and walked away without a word as I was in pain and the nurse had to explain they wouldn't be finishing it because I'm sensitive. My new office offered pain shots like real dentists that think about comfort before money. I'm sorry I might have wasted a precious $30 shot. I would have paid for it for crying out loud if they asked. But they assumed me and my family are broke so I'll take my 20k elsewhere. I do want to say, the girls are awesome especially the hygienist but he needs to remember why he does this profession. read more

Worst dentist experience ever..NEVER EVER GOING BACK..I wouldn't send family and friends their either..Went for a cleaning he dug the drill so deep in my gums blood was everywhere and he didn't bother to clean or wipe me off. After he was done he just walked out the room no talking to me about my teeth or nothing..No sink in the room you have to go into a restroom to spit and gargle which is disgusting..With COVID-19 going on I try to stay out of public restrooms..The guy that polished my teeth was really nice & made conversation not just went in my mouth..Medical from THIS state is the worst and you only covered by doctors & dentist that DO NOT care about you..That's why so many people that have the state insurance have problems with their body they don't want to go to these places..When your job don't have benefits and you can't afford good insurance to go to good doctors & dentist you shouldn't have to suffer with these types of dentist..Didn't want too but I'll just pay to go see a better dentist.. read more

I had an assessment, filling, and cleaning done all in one day and I have not been more comfortable in a dentist's office. I recently moved to area and had trouble finding a dentist that won't try to pull a fast one on you or whose main concern was getting you in the chair and out -- when health professionals say that, it honestly makes me uncomfortable. At Advanced Dentistry, I felt like I was sitting in a college classroom with those really cool professors who actually care about their students and their story, because I was educated on different topics like oral cancer (which I was delighted to learn this office has saved lives recognizing early on) and different effects the way my teeth grow has on its ability to avoid decay. My time in the chair felt appreciated and I felt very safe in the hands of all the staff. The professionals were PROFESSIONAL, while remaining friendly and open. Their personalities made me feel more like a family member than a patient, and I could tell their education on dentistry didn't stop at their degree. They continue to adapt and educate, and their convenience has given me much to look forward to in my next appointment. This office made me feel like a priority, and how kept everything was helped your already satisfying service. I was greeted with a smile and left with a smile. Awesome job everyone, you're an award winning office for a reason! read more

I've had a lot of Dental work over the years. This was the experience I ever had at Eco Dental. Dr. He immediately went into a comprehensive dental plan which I didn't need. I clearly was there to replace the filling. He was also overbooked as I was getting treated he was working on another patient. Don't go here. I will NEVER go back. read more

After reading great reviews I went to this man for a consult for an implant and crown. I left feeling disrespected and disappointed. It felt like I was at a used care dealership instead of a physician's office. They insisted that I had to have a cleaning before the doctor would even examine my teeth as if I was diseased. There was no conversation about the health of my teeth or gums just insurance, payments, and copays. I got so fed up that I told the assistant that I had the money to pay for whatever my insurance didn't cover but I was there to have my teeth fixed. No one listened to what my priority was which was to get the crown done ASAP. Instead of getting my records from the office that did my root canal they offered me a $400 CT scan but if I paid right then and there they would knock off $200. After many trips in and out of my room the assistant came back with asking me to pay $1200 right then for a service that had not been performed or even scheduled. That was the final straw! I will NEVER step foot in this place again! read more

I tried this place for the first time after looking up reviews on Google. It's a nice and clean facility and the staff were nice, but I will never go back. I ended up getting extremely sick the next day (vomiting and diarrhea while pregnant which has me concerned that they passed a nasty bacteria to me since I experienced a terrible headache and hurting gums after I left and for the rest of the day). I've had plenty of cleanings before and NEVER experienced getting sick before. I even flossed and brushed my teeth the morning before I went. I have concerns about my teeth (apparent cavities forming) but the doctor told me there wasn't anything there. I had to make him look and then he realizes, oh yeh..you have small cavities, nothing to do since they're small. So I'm thinking this doesn't make sense...you're not going to at least tell me preventative methods to keep them from getting worse or are you just going to let them get worse until you treat them? His breath also stunk, which...you're a dentist. Why the hell does your breath stink? So, even though the place and the staff seems nice, I won't ever trust this place with my dental hygiene again. Only giving 2 stars for their friendliness, other than that...AVOID THIS PLACE. read more
