Items in the shop range from clothing (dresses, tops, bottoms, shoes, belts, accessories), media (books, cassettes, tapes, CDs and more), trinkets, and more. To my…read moresurprise, Back Pocket Vintage caught my eye and I had the pleasure of learning a little bit more about the shop after speaking with owner, Ally. Previously founded in 2022, the shop has recently moved to West Saint Paul and is conveniently located next to Backstory Coffee and Wabasha Brewery. Back Pocket specializes in being an all inclusive shop carrying all sizes including plus sizes. In addition, donations for store credit trade are readily available with staff and if anyone needs clothing, Back Pocket is willing to help with no questions asked. Lastly, home decor and furniture exist as well. Come support this business and make a day out of it since there's a ton of cool spots nearby. Thanks, Ally and Jacob for running such a special spot with an important mission. The world needs more places like this!!

Since my last visit, I was pleased to see that they have opened up the back room of the building. Style Society is a mix of Patina, thrift, home goods and plants all mashed into one spot. This is a great shop for gifts or if you are seeking to swap out furniture or purchase vintage kitchen wear. From refurbished coffee tables to sofas and dressers, there is something for everyone here. There is a plant section, clothes, candles, vintage mugs, trivets, saucepans, etc. If you name it, you can probably find it here. During December, the shop is seasonally decorated with ornaments and various other trinkets. The shop has nice sections to the store broken out by item with good organization - not too overwhelming considering the vast selection. There's usually really nice incense burning when you enter the space or candles. The interior is really clean and the staff is friendly. Most items are priced within reason yet there are a few that can be spendy. Find some items within your budget and you'll love it here. While you're in the area, check out Claddagh Coffee and St. Vincent de Paul thrift next door. Saint Paul is so lucky to have you, Style Society!

I like to promote cool stores by posting on Facebook, so I took a few photos. I was told not to take photos, even though I was going to promote them online. I guess they don't need the promotion. I just walked in looked around and bought a little Joe Mauer baseball and sticker... The blonde woman working at the counter who I have to assume is the owner from how crazy terrible she treated me... Didn't say a word to me until I went to check out. She then proceeded to charge me $5 for the sticker from the store. $7 and 30 cents or something total. I was like weird, okay. I said I don't have any ones on me. I only have a 50. She said "I can break it", I then said i have change so you can give me back whole bills. Then things turned really weird... She says "we don't play change games" I said you can keep the change, I just want the dollars back. Then she says " I already counted it out" and made some other snarky remark to me under her breath. And I was so taken aback I didn't know what was going on. She then hands me back $32 and change. And I grabbed it saying nothing super mad, and walked out. My change should have been 42 and change. She literally stole $10 from me. As I was pulling off I realized it turned around and walked back up to the store. She has locked the door and it has a sign on it that says I'll be back in 5 minutes... But she's in her car driving around the block. I go to wait in my car and she pulls in behind me... I get out and say are you the lady that owns this store? And she puts down her weed pipe just long enough to pull away from me. I don't know what universe I'm in right now but this is the weirdest retail experience I've ever had in my life. I think maybe the weed pipe had something stronger in it. What? The? F*-+$?
