Misael and other tour guides were amazing!
Evelyn S.

Our bioluminescent tour was an enchanting journey, made unforgettable by the incredible staff. From the start, their warm welcome and expert guidance eased any nerves we had as newcomers to kayaking and bioluminescence. Their humor added an extra sparkle to the experience, making us feel like we were paddling with old friends. Safety was never compromised, with their diligent watch ensuring we felt secure throughout. Their insightful explanations about the bioluminescent organisms and surrounding marine life, accompanied by pictures and constellation pointing, deepened our appreciation of the natural wonders around us, making this feel like a truly magical experience. Additionally, when my friend had to go solo, they watched over her, providing reassurance and ensuring her safety. This tour is a must-do for anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure guided by passionate, hilarious, and knowledgeable staff. Things to note: Go closer to the new moon so that you can see the bioluminescent waters even better.

I have done Bioluminescent kayak tour with another company and I have to say this experience with eco was far better! Not only was our group more organized than other groups there were no casualties or issues because there were 6 or 7 guides for 20 people. So there was constant assistance. Seeing the bioluminescence is dependent on how dark it is. I did the 7p one and the moon and starts were out plus city lights so they offered a tarp that everyone had to hold over and crouch in to block out light. This is the first time I ever had to do that and we did get to see the light this way. I also loved that they explained the organism and fish with pictures and everything something I didn't experience on my last kayak with the other company. I strongly recommend going during a new moon so it's darker. It's 1.5 miles of kayaking to open bay and 1.5 back. Keep in mind it won't look like pictures but it's worth the experience and the crew had a great sense of humor and overall highly recommend.

Misael and his crew really knew the waters well, and for someone who is scared of the water, I felt comfortable in their hands.

We went to several different locations and they serve you appetizer portions. Some of the portions felt more like lunch portions so make sure you have an empty stomoch when you do a Spoon tour. All the food was delicious! We did the Old San Juan tour in the evening. We even bumped into the Mayor wo said Hello! The people were so wonderful and friendly. I can't wait to come back to Puerto Rico! If you are a history lover like me you will love this! We were told the story of the cobblestones left by the English, the port the Spanish would arrive to and then go to the Cathedral on their knees, and the steel left behind by the British. You will be amazed at how and what happened in Puerto Rico. Try this experience, it is unforgettable!

Since I don't drink alcohol, I was really appreciative that there was a mocktail or juice option at each stop. I also thought it was huge that they chose to support the family owned spots on this tour. Everything was good, but my favorite was definitely the pernil with rice and beans. Other members of the tour were friendly, and it was nice that Lorna had us all introduce ourselves at the beginning to break the ice. I would definitely recommend the sunset food tour to anyone visiting old San Juan for the first time who wants authentic food with a side of history!

We were able to customize our tour with regard to timing, pick up at our Airbnb, and we asked for it to be less strenous as we had 65 and 70 year olds with us. Albany was great with his amount of knowledge and so friendly. We had a great time including a stop at a roadside stand for snacks, drinks, and souvenirs and an airport drop off. Would definitely recommend this tour which can be customized to what you need!

Scheduling with Louie was a little annoying, taking a few back and forth calls, but ultimately we were able to schedule the hike to the falls in El Yunque. On the drive out there, Rupert told us about a bunch of movies that had been filmed in PR along with a few facts about the island. This was enjoyable, although not quite what I'm interested in, it helped pass the time on the trip out there. However, once we got to the forrest, that's the end of the "tour", from there it's really just transportation. We stopped by a waterfall along the road, then went over to the path to the more secluded waterfall. Rupert didn't come on the hike with us and told a few women in our party that they would be comfortable barefoot. Their complaints along the way and slow progress made it clear that the shoes I was wearing were practically necessary. Hiking through El Yunque was beautiful but it rains hard in the rain forrest, something I should have guessed, but a heads up to dress warm and bring a raincoat would have been nice. We even asked what to bring and were told we didn't need anything. The authentic Puerto Rican meal at the end was a nice touch, but I was here for the hike.

You'd get a text message reminder a day before the tour and they would ask if you have food restrictions or allergies. You'd also get a reminder where the meeting spot is. We met at Banco Popular, introduced ourselves and went our merry way to the 5 different food spots. Pablo ordered the food before hand so that when the group arrived at the different restaurants/places, the food was ready and we did not have to wait that long. Our first stop was Cafe Cuatro Sombras where we had coffee and croissant ham/provolone cheese/guava butter. I liked this croissant with a hint of tanginess/sweetness from the guava. Noncoffee drinkers had options of lemonade and tea. Second stop was Señor Paleta. There's no indoor seating here so we had the delicious parcha (passion fruit) popsicle. Yum! Very refreshing, great for this warm weather! Third stop was Cafe El Punto. This place has a lot of artwork by local artists. We had ceviche de pescado and alcapurrias de la casa which were nice. Fourth stop was El Patio de Sam where we "made" our own mofongo. We had fried plantains and garlic butter, mashed them in a mortar and pestle, and added the chicken before turning the mortar upside down to get the mofongo. This was flavorful and had more moisture compared to another mofongo we had. Last stop for dessert was Vaca Brava. We had flan which was nice. We enjoyed the food, the tour, and the conversations. Great experience here.

Our guide was fantastic and this would be a great excursion for those on a cruise and here for a day. This was not an option the cruise ship offers and I am so happy we found this when we got off the boat. Fantastic service, very knowledgeable guide and what a fun way to see every inch of the city. With PR Sidecars you don't need a week in PR they will show you the hidden gems in hours. What an experience I will remember for a lifetime!! Our guide took all our pics, educates us on the city, recommended restaurants ((amazing)) and showed us places only tourist could reach. Very appreciative of that!! On to the experience! My guide, Tom, arrived right on time and picked me up in front of my hotel. He kindly provided me with cold water and a helmet for the ride. From there, we spent the next hour and a half perusing the streets of Old San Juan in a stylish sidecar! (So much better than sitting in a cramped, sweaty van with 15/20+ others!‍) You get to cruise the cobblestone streets with the open air/breeze in your face feeling, as well as getting unobstructed, 360 degree views- it is AMAZING! There were many historic sights to see, along the way. Tom was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Puerto Rico- I learned quite a bit in just an hour and a half! As we zipped around Old San Juan, Tom also pointed out some cool local eateries to check out, as well as places to shop. When you reach some of the destinations, you're able to jump out, take some photos and enjoy the views. I highly recommend PR Sidecars! You will enjoy and amazing ride, see some of the beautiful sights Puerto Rico has to offer and learn a thing or two along the way!
