Cory and her team helped with a grant deed transfer. The overall process was very professional and smooth. I would highly recommend.

Impossible to work with, don't live up to their commitments, completely sleazy business practices…read moreand ruthless. They agreed to dismiss a suit upon settlement, but after paying them in full, they still haven't done so. In fact, I paid them off more than 10 days early, yet a week later, the case still shows as active in the superior court web portal. Every document they've agreed to produce has been like a dental extraction to actually get the document from them. They are liars, cheats, and scoundrels. Unfortunately, they obviously don't care what end customers say about them, because we aren't their target audience. The only things we can effectively do are: 1. Complain to the appropriate authorities. In California, that's the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/ and the California Attorney General (if you believe they violated the law): https://oag.ca.gov/ 2. Waste as much of their time, especially their attorneys if possible (cost them as much money) as you can in the process of dealing with your case. 3. Low ball your agreements with them and negotiate as aggressively as you possibly can. Make sure they get as little money as you can possibly give them while making the process as expensive for them as you possibly can. It's all about the economics. The less they collect and the more they spend collecting it, the less effective they appear to their actual customers and the sooner we can put sleaze bags like this out of business.

I have had inconsistent experiences at this place of business. Here are my takeaways:…read more 1) they definitely have experience in navigating the legal steps in family law cases and have provided some valuable help in 2 cases, 2) inconsistent pricing, I feel like they quote clients based on unknown criteria. After quoting one price and us paying it, they expressed verbally afterwards that "they charged too low", which is unprofessional to say to a client. 3) I would compare their pricing with other Paralegals and even law firms that offer solely document preparation services as a limited scope without full representation. We ended up doing the latter and found a licensed attorney whose pricing appeared more reasonable than what LDA charged us to date! It made us feel like we have been ripped off :( 4) They made a lot of mistakes in the paperwork and I ended up spending 2 hours in their office to fix their mistakes. Quality control is lacking and they were not happy with me being detail oriented and checking their work! I would rate their paralegal service at below average. Especially when their price doesn't match the work quality expected.
