My friend recommended going to Method Salon for a haircut and I could not have been more pleased…read morewith my experience! My hairdresser was Tim and he did a fantastic job! I have always had nice, thick, and generally long hair. However during quarantine I did some diy hair dye and hair cuts. Constantly trying to dye my own hair and lifting color myself damaged the lower half of my hair to where it was constantly frizzy, tangled, and there was a lot of breakage. I tried to do hair masks every two days to try to get my hair back to its normal healthy state, but no luck. So I went in to Method Salon to chop off all of the damaged hair. I told Tim, as I have told all of my past hairdressers, to do whatever he thought would look best and to cut off what was needed to make my hair look healthy! Tim did a fantastic job of working with me to find a style that would flatter my face shape and making sure that I was ok with the length! I ended up buying two of the products that Tim used on my hair too-- the Oribe Dry Shampoo and the Oribe Split End Seal. They smell heavenly and make my hair look like I just stepped out of a salon. I am so glad to be back to getting compliments on my hair!

I love the nail bar concept rather than individual stations. This would be incredible for a party of bridesmaids or any other group that wants their nails done together! I wish I knew about this place on my wedding day! They offer a variety of nail, skin, and hair services. They also are an Aveda salon, so all of the hair products come from that line. You will most certainly want to call in advance for an appointment! You can try to book one online as well, but it's not the most user friendly experience. I find it much faster to just call!

I started going to The Beauty Bar at Carmel because a friend recommended the stylist Ella to me…read more She is very kind and does a good job with my thin straight hair. She doesn't weigh it down with heavy product and is able to get a curl to stick when styling! Not to mention she gives the best scalp massages, this is really why I get haircuts! ‍ Another thing I really appreciate is that they have a front desk person. They notify the stylist you've arrived so you don't have to wait long and they help with payments and appointment scheduling. I get text reminders when I have an appointment coming up. I've bought product here and been happy with it too. Probably most important and what you're interested in--the price feels reasonable. I can come and walk out with both a cut and a tip for around $50. This, aside from my relationship with my stylist, is one of the main reasons I've consistently returned. If you're new to the area, The Beauty Bar is a great hairdresser to try out. See if Ella has a free spot for you!

After reading Nicole S' five-star review, I had a feeling this would be the place for me. Location…read moreis far from convenient given that I live downtown, but I followed the strong reviews and it didn't disappoint. I'm not one to enjoy getting haircuts as I often feel they take too much time, and the price somehow magically grows without me knowing. However, that wasn't the case at Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Salon. From the minute I walked in the door, the energy was high and it really felt like the staff enjoyed one another. There was good energy buzzing throughout the space. I was quickly greeted and offered and snack and drink and I was ushered back on time. The cut was thorough and down to business - cherry on top? A scalp and neck massage. I was lucky enough to be paired with Lianna who unbeknownst to me, is a curl expert and nailed my haircut. I'll definitely be booking with her for my next hair cut. It was such a joy to see my hair "alive" again. Thank you so much!

Her responses were in monosyllables. I asked about pricing twice. Transparent pricing is important when clients are trying to budget and compare services, especially for larger appointments or events. The lack of clarity made the experience frustrating and ultimately discouraged me from booking. I expressed my frustration politely to Kathryn and instead of rectifying the issue Kathryn Brash then proceeded to block me.

I would not recommend this salon for mesh integration systems or other high-cost, technical hair…read moreservices. I spent several thousand dollars on a mesh integration/topper and extensions after relying entirely on professional guidance. The system was installed incorrectly, and once the initial styling settled, the placement issues were clear. I returned in person specifically to have the installation corrected. Instead of fixing the issues, I was told I would need to wait approximately 8 weeks until my next scheduled visit for a reinstall. For a service of this complexity and cost, being asked to live with an improperly installed system for weeks is unacceptable. The topper color also failed quickly. Within about three weeks, it faded back toward a lighter/blonde tone and no longer matched my brown hair. This is an integrated system worn with natural hair, and color compatibility is a basic functional requirement. I was sold this based on color and texture pattern matching, which was not represented honestly or transparently, as the hair is heavily pre-processed and does not hold color that is dyed at the salon. There were also billing transparency issues. I later discovered--only after requesting an itemized receipt--that I had been charged for extension hair that was never installed or physically provided to me. Despite raising this issue, I was never refunded for the incorrect billing. Overall, this experience showed a lack of technical expertise, inadequate quality control, and poor transparency for a service that requires precision and experience. If you are considering a mesh integration or similar system, I strongly recommend seeking out a salon in a major hub (such as Chicago) with extensive, specialized experience in these systems. This is not a service that should be handled without proven expertise. Do not get mesh integration at this salon.
