We were lucky enough to just wander in on a day when SHACC's founder, Dick Metz, was onsite. Dick is an athletic guy in his 90s who knows or knew every pioneering surfer, ran the Hobie surf shop on Oahu, surfed in South Africa and told Bruce Brown about it, and collected vintage boards and photos (both his and others') along the way. Dick gave us a super tour, with backstories of the things we were looking at. Visit this place! It's in an industrial and office park and has its own parking lot. You'll be glad you stopped by.
