Frankly, we were tired of waiting until some jackass decided to saw off our cats and leave us without. This has happened to too many neighbours. We went to see the folks over at ABC Muffler, and Trevor gave us a bunch of options for our vehicles. It was booked within a couple days, and they sorted us out completely. Now, it's VERY unlikely that any thieves will have the time or the blades to make a mess of our catalytic converters. We're going to ABC for everything for exhaust and towing now. Thanks folks!

I recommend avoiding this shop . This is my (Jennifer Shaw) formal written notice ahead of me coming in tomorrow. I am writing to formally state that I did not authorize the removal, replacement, or modification of either catalytic converter on my vehicle. I brought the vehicle to your shop after being referred from North Kia dealership for a catalytic cleaning as discussed. Any work performed beyond what I authorized was not approved by me verbally or in writing. On August 7th when I went to pickup my vehicle I was told that the work was required due to an engine code. However, based on the vehicle's configuration, further diagnostic testing would have been required to properly establish that either catalytic converter had failed before any removal or modification was performed. No such testing was presented to me prior to additional work being done on the vehicle, and performed without my consent. I have also formally filed a consumer complaint with AMVIC regarding this matter: AMVIC Case Number: 26-08-133 Submitted: August 9, 2026 I also learned that your shop is unlicensed (SINCE JAN,2026) and your shop did not abide or enforce AMVIC requirements. I am therefore demanding the immediate release of my vehicle, and return of unauthorized removed parts on Monday, August 10, 2026 while this matter is being reviewed. I was not advised, and did not give authorization of the work that was performed, and I dispute any charges relating to unauthorized services. As part of the complaint and to document the condition of the vehicle prior to the work being performed, please provide copies of all written diagnostic records and test results from August 5, and August 6, 2026. Including, and if performed during the initial assessment: Exhaust back-pressure readings (PSI) Thermal readings before and after the catalytic converters Intake manifold vacuum test results Results of the physical tap and visual inspection Exhaust separation/bypass test results Along with diagnostic codes, scan tool data, photographs, notes, or other documentation relied upon to determine that either catalytic converter had failed. Please preserve all records, photographs, diagnostic data, work orders, technician notes, and removed components relating to my vehicle. I expect my vehicle to be released to me Monday morning, August 10, 2026: The removed parts in the trunk without requiring me to accept or authorize the disputed work.

Sean and Kelly were awesome to deal with. Kept me in the loop and even though it was looking like they were really busy, we're still able to get the diff back to me fairly quickly. I have 6 vehicles some as of as 1963, I wouldn't hesitate to let the guys at this shop handle my vehicles. I'll be back next time I have a driveline issue I'm sure. They know what they're doing…read more Transmission fluid check, change and filter replacement in a 2010 F150 would cost me $800 at City Ford. At this place they did it all for less than a third of that. The ironic thing is that they bought the fluid and filter from city ford. For those of you who would say do it yourself, just know that many newer vehicles have no dip stick for the tranny. It's an all inclusive proprietary system. Mr Lube can't even change tranny fluid anymore. So when you decide to get it done give these guys a ring.

Safety inspection:…read more Safety inspection: We took our used vehicle for an insurance inspection. The fee was reasonable to pay for finding them online. We knew we needed to do some work and it was expected buying an older vehicle. We do need it to be up to standard to feel safe and reliable. We got the report and over-priced estimate but we just assumed today rates are very expensive repairs to vehicles. We took the report at face value and paid a fee and we were not willing to put out 4000 for repairs of a 2009 Lancer. We then took it home and ordered parts and did repairs ourselves on weekends and evenings. We used the report given to make all the safety requirements listed that needed to be DONE according to the in inspection report Auto Imports provided. We then took the vehicle back to them after we did all the required replacements listed on their report and paid for a wheel alignment as well as it was also required on our list as another fee for safety inspection. We then were told a whole NEW list of repairs again pricing well over 3000. The repairs listed were NOT on the original repost. They came up with a Whole new list of repairs to be done. This is not a good way to do business. The same mechanic did both reports... I ask how it is possible and how it is fair to the average working person. We needed a smaller vehicle cheaper on gas for commuting to and from work. I do not understand this type of Shady business practice. No matter what you say... in defence it is never going to explain this type of business practises. You give a person a report of repairs .. a person using this list like a checklist to do repairs only to then make a NEW list of repairs. Either you need a new mechanic or like I say Shady business. Trying to take advantage of people in today's economy is horrible.
